Hello everyone! I'm Giulia, and I'm very lucky to have been born and raised in the historic center of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. While it's very easy to take the place that you live for granted, I'm also fortunate that I'm continually excited by my city's beauty and history. Since I am privileged to know Florence so intimately, I would love to be able to share my unique perspective with visitors who have only a limited time here. I received my diploma in Classical Literature and it seemed natural that these interests led me to want to study my city's art and, in turn, to complete the work to become a licensed historic guide. The historic center was my playground as a child and, with my passion for art and history, as an adult the city is now my dreamland as an adult. Let me show you Florence from my perspective so you'll have the opportunity to see it as a native. I can't wait to meet you and show you my wonderful hometown!! - Licensed Guide for Florence All of my tours are walking and museum's tours within the historic center of Florence.

We will retrace the footsteps of the Florentine Jews starting from the first small settlements in the 15th century to the age of the segregation in the Jewish Ghetto, wanted by the Medici Dukes, to the 19th century Jews emancipation, that brought to the construction of our beautiful Synagogue. We will also discuss about the complex relationship between the Christians and the Jews of Florence through out the centuries and the deep connections between the old testament and the Christian artistic iconography: I will tell you about one of the most beautiful images of the Torah in the bronze Gate Of Paradise of the Baptistry. We will complete our visit inside the beautiful Synagogue, with its interesting Museum of Jewish Art and Culture.
Suggested Itinerary: -Piazza della Repubblica -Baptistry -Great Synagogue* -Museum of Jewish Art and Culture *Please note, we will be entering the Synagogue and appropriate attire is necessary (covered shoulders for women, covered knees for both sexes, yarmulkas for men). Yarmulkas are available on site for free. All my tours can be customized upon request
