Ciao, welcome to my profile, willkommen auf meinem profil! I'm Katia and I have been a Licensed Tour Guide since 2009. I spent my childhood in Florence . Although I currently live in Livorno, my heart is tied to this city. I carry with me the scents of Florentine springs and summers and the beauties of the Cradle of the Renaissance in indelible memories from my childhood. I worked for years in different fields of Tourism & Hospitality (from hotels to restaurants) until I decided to turn my passion for Art history and love for Florence into a job, becoming an official Florence tourist guide. As such, my mission is to share all my love for Florence with you, by offering historical walks, visits to museums, churches and local markets, introducing you to the Italian art and history without forgetting food, anecdotes and those hidden details that will make you live for real a memorable Florentine experience. To me, a guided tour should give you a thrill that will eventually turn into an unforgettable memory. I love to guide people in a journey through my beautiful city, taking care of their needs with a touch of lightness and fun. I'm looking forward to meet you! Even if my calendar shows no availability, feel free to get in touch. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. Just to clarify, I only arrange hotel or port pick-up and drop-off through the driver. I will meet you at the meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

I have designed an itinerary that allows you to discover two of the most fascinating churches in Florence, located in the Oltrarno district. We will visit the interior of Santo Spirito, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, which will captivate you with its harmonious architecture. This Augustinian complex houses the splendid wooden crucifix sculpted by the young Michelangelo, who found here a place for meditation and study. Next, we will explore the Church of Santa Felicita, part of one of the oldest and most powerful religious complexes in Florence. With the construction of the Vasari Corridor, it was placed under the patronage of the Medici Grand Dukes. Here, we will admire the enchanting Deposition by Pontormo and the chapel with the privileged altar dedicated to Saint Raphael the Archangel… and I will tell you its fascinating story right in front of it.
Itinerary: - Piazza della Repubblica - Via Tornabuoni - Ponte S. Trinita - Piazza Santo Spirito and Church - Piazza Santa Felicita and Church Church of Santo Spirito is closed on Wednesdays. Church of Santa Felicita is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays. On closing days except Sunday morning, there will be an opportunity to visit other famous churches. If there are people with mobility issues, please let me know. The itinerary will be customized to make moving around easier.
