Hidden Gems in Florence - Half Day Tour

We will discover a part of Florence's history and art in a special way: visiting a medieval home, a grain market/church and a museum, dedicated to sculpture, in Florence's oldest public building. Walking from place to place, we will see some of the city center like the Porcellino market, Signoria Square, medieval streets, Dante's house. This tour is only available on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, Friday and Saturday late morning. Palazzo Davanzati, a medieval tower house, was a family home until the late 1800's. and is the only one to survive intact upto today. Orsanmichele Church, once the city's grain market, became the guilds' church thanks to a miraculous painting. Unique to Florence, it blends the city's commercial, administrative, artistic and religious character together. The medieval Bargello building, the oldest public building in town, houses Florence's most important collection of Renaissance sculptures as well as a variety of amazing decorative arts: ivory, ceramics, bronzes, etc.
