I have been a licensed tour guide in Florence since 2008 and I love the city's art and history. But more importantly, I was born and raised in Florence; many of my ancestors from the mid 16th century onward are registered in the Baptistery, which is also where my daughter was baptized. Walking along the streets of Florence is like reliving my family's past. Sharing Florence's past—and sharing my passion for Florence today—is what I love to offer my clients as we explore the city together, discovering its many beautiful facets and hidden secrets. A love of travel and humanities led me to live abroad, learning the languages and cultures of other countries, allowing me to give tours in English, French, Spanish, and Italian. I love hiking and climbing in the mountains and am also a passionate supporter of Florence's local football team, Florentina. Overview of your Florence tour
Let me guide you by your senses: notice the scents and smells, listen to the city's voices and noises in silence, taste the local specialties, open your eyes wide, touch by hand the architecture's materials of the past. This is a family-friendly, interactive tour to discover the highlights and some less known parts of the city. Meeting in Santa Maria Novella Square, we will enjoy the Renaissance facade of the Church, unveiling the secrets of the beauty and harmony in the architecture. Traveling back in time, we will discover of the both the religious and political centers , tied to the people, who lived at that time, such as Michelangelo and Dante. We will be fascinated by Dome of the Cathedral, the medieval Bell Tower and the Baptistry's Golden Gate of Paradise, where my daughter was baptized. In Signoria Square we will explore original sculptures from Roman times to the Renaissance. Our tour will end on the Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge.
