Dear Traveller, What I believe to be the true essence of Florence was beautifully captured by Stendhal during his visit to Santa Croce: "I was in a sort of ecstasy… Everything spoke so vividly to my soul… I had palpitations of the heart… Life was drained from me. I walked with the fear of falling." Florence has that effect. Its extraordinary artistic density, concentrated within such an intimate space, allows every stone to whisper history. Here, the greatness of art is not confined to museums — it surrounds you, embraces you, and, if you let it, transforms you. Becoming a licensed tour guide in Florence was not simply a career choice — it was a calling. My previous professional experience in multinational environments shaped my background in marketing and communications, teaching me the power of storytelling and the importance of crafting a narrative that truly resonates. Because a great tour is not just about information — it’s about connection. Having grown up abroad, from the Middle East to California, I developed a natural sensitivity to cultural nuances and diverse perspectives. I understand how differently we may perceive a monument, a painting, or even a square. This international background allows me to create experiences that are meaningful, accessible, and engaging for travellers from all over the world. I hold a degree in Foreign Modern Literatures and Languages, and becoming a licensed Florence tour guide felt like the perfect complement to my academic path — blending history, art, culture, and human stories into one living experience. My favorite dimension is working with small, personal tours, where I can truly adapt to your pace and interests. Whether we are exploring a masterpiece, wandering through hidden streets, or pausing for a quiet moment in a Renaissance square, my goal is to offer more than a tour: a shared experience that is fun, spontaneous, insightful, and memorable. Behind the stones of Florence, there are stories waiting to be discovered — and perhaps, along the way, you might discover something new about yourself too. I look forward to walking the city with you. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. Please note that I provide pick-up and drop-off at the hotel or port only through the driver. I will meet you directly at the designated meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Enjoy a relaxed walk around the city while receiving historic information and anecdotes as we approach the city's main squares and monuments, while the most renowned attractions will not be missed, by immersing into the narrow medieval and side streets some of the more hidden aspects will also emerge as part of this experience. On this tour we will be exploring the two main poles of Florence religious and civic, respectively with its Duomo complex (Cathedral, Brunelleschi's dome, Baptistery, Giotto's Bell Tower, outside) and Piazza della Signoria (Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi Courtyard, Loggia dei Lanzi an open air anthology of sculptures) . A visit to the central food market (closed on Sundays) with its 19th century architecture will provide an insight into the local food culture and products. A view from the banks of its river Arno will unfold the beauty of its bridges including that of the Ponte Vecchio. With this tour we can say that you will known the heart of my beloved Florence, let's discover it together!

Silvia is a lovely tour guide Warm, funny, very engaging and so knowledgeable… wonderful! She made our morning in beautiful Florence a very special one, bookended by the best coffee in town and a recommendation for delicious pasta, glass of vino and gelato… perfetto! We would most definitely recommend a tour with Silvia ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Silvia was very knowledgeable as to details of Florence history. Highly recommended!
My husband and I are so happy we took the Florence Orientation tour with Sylvia! She was very responsive to our many requests and changes before we arrived, and even met us at our hotel to make it easier. She is energetic, personable, and didn't waste one moment of our 4 hour tour. Her knowledge of Florence's history, sites and religious artifacts were very impressive and even introduced us to a couple of local artisans that we eventually went back to and bought some special memories to bring home!
Silvia did a remarkable and impressive job on her tour with us. Her knowledge of the history, the culture, the architecture and the art of Florence is truly impressive. We were grateful for her time and effort.
