Ciao! Hello there! I'm Laura, a proud Florentine and I can't wait to make you fall in love with my city! I was born in Florence, 47 years ago and I grew up breathing the beauty and history of my hometown while simply living my teenage daily life. I have always loved books and was curious about the past which made me decided to become a medieval archaeologist: I studied here in Florence, where the spirit of the Middle Ages still walks the streets and lingers between the towers and the churches, floating in the thousands of paintings that can be found in Florence. As an archaeologist, I've met people from all around the world and worked for many years in Italy and in Jordan, and in time discovered that hidden beneath the surface of archeology was in reality the discovery of my passion in telling real life stories about the real people of the past. Thus I decided to become a tour guide! As any real Florentine, I'm really proud of my city, not only because of its beauty, but because of it's spirit, it's shyness, in spite of it's obvious magnificence, and I love to convey this spirit to my guests. I don't just want to "guide" you, I want to take you by your arm and let you fall in love with the real Florence. I really enjoy the contact with people, even with younger kids, and can transform myself in a real storyteller, well trained by years of reenactments! Most of all I really love the idea of engaging the whole family in a fun experience of edutainment. Since I was a teenager I have always had a passion for photography and started taking pictures during my high school years and never stopped. I still wander around with my camera, so I can also take you on a photographic tour, to discover Florence in it's magical moments. But most of all, what I love most is tailoring tours and experiences together with my guests, matching your interests and giving you the chance to experience your "personal" Florence! PhD in Medieval Archaeology Teacher in the graduate school in Archaeology, Florence University I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver. Lines in Florence are quite usual: also if we have tickets in our hands we'll have to do some lining to visit the Uffizi or the Accademia museums.

This is a tour designed to enjoy Florence even in the hottest period: walking away from the worst hours and doing what Italians do to survive summers You just need to be willing to get out of the box and habits a little to discover a fresher and. above all. truly "local" Florence! What do you think? Would you like to try?
There are two versions of the tour: one for early birds and the other for lovers of aperitifs or outdoor dining! For early birds: we meet early at 8:30 am, for a quick Italian breakfast, at the counter of one of the historic cafes in the center, then we cross the streets of the center to see the most famous monuments, but also some hidden corners, in a Florence still populated by Florentines. We finish with a nice gelato or a Sicilian granita in the middle of the morning! For aperitif lovers: we start late, when the great heat is ending, at 5 pm, with a gelato or a granita, then we take a tour of the shadier streets to discover masterpieces or lesser-known places and close at 7:30 pm with an aperitif in a bar in the center. - Duomo square - Medici area - Piazza Santa Trinita - view of the Ponte Vecchio - Piazza Signoria - Medieval area The order of the steps can change between the Early Birds and the Aperitif lovers version!
