Ciao! I'm Bianca, and I live in Florence. This is where I earned my degree in Art History, with a thesis on contemporary art, and later worked for a time as an independent curator. When I decided to become a tour guide, I didn't leave the contemporary behind, if anything, I found a way to weave together the city's present and its past, the city I love and chose to call home. I became an official tour guide in 2011, and I've never stopped deepening my knowledge of this city, which to me feels like a flower blooming every second. I've lived here for many years, and I can say that its history is incomplete without its local culture, its food, or its wine, which is why I often talk about them on my tours. Being surrounded by so much beauty is a privilege, and I love sharing it. I'll be glad to do so with you, whether in museums, in churches, or along a quiet little street. You'll find that beauty is almost always intact here, and that there's always something that speaks to us. I look forward to helping you enjoy this city, where masterpieces are around every corner, and I'll be truly happy to see the wonder on your face. It will be a pleasure to tailor the tour to your preferences! I lead tours in Italian and English. I'm not licensed to drive during tours, but I can arrange a driver service for you. Degree in Art History, 2004 Official tour guide since 2011

This tour captures the essence of Florence through its squares, its streets, and its ‘heroes’. You will experience it all in the company of a truly passionate art historian! We will follow the city through its transformations across the centuries, seeing the striking results of its wealth in medieval times, both in its religious and political centers, then we'll talk about one of the most intense periods in history, the Renaissance. The Medici, the family that symbolizes the city, still mark Florence here and there today through artworks and palaces. The medieval neighborhood is still captivating, and its towers tell us much about the past, as we make our way to the famous Ponte Vecchio. Along the way, the names of the city's great artists will come up, like Leonardo and Michelangelo, or the extraordinary Brunelleschi with his towering Duomo dome, all without losing sight of the smaller stories and details that are the true flavor of the tour! I look forward to exploring and having fun together!
