The Duomo of Florence, cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, is one of the most iconic landmarks in Florence and the entire Piazza del Duomo complex is must-see! We will spend approximately 3h to learn, admire and live the beauty of this majestic Duomo and the museum Opera del Duomo which treasured the art pieces ones inside the duomo. With The Ghiberti pass we will be able to do the short line and not wait hours in the long ones. The pass covers also the baptistry that you can do on your own in the next days, tickets last 3 full days. Join me!

Our tour will be focused on this three areas: -The Cathedral interior Step inside to admire the vast space, the beautiful marble floors, frescoes, and the famous fresco of The Last Judgment on the underside of the dome. It’s breathtaking just walking in. - Museo dell’Opera del Duomo (Duomo Museum) - This is the museum you’re asking about (“il museo”), and it’s exceptional. It houses the original masterpieces removed from the cathedral, baptistery, and bell tower for preservation, including: • Michelangelo’s unfinished Pietà Bandini • Donatello’s sculptures • Original panels from Ghiberti’s Gates of Paradise • Models and tools related to Brunelleschi’s dome construction • Arnolfo di Cambio’s original façade designs It’s air-conditioned, spacious, and gives deep context to the entire complex. -Santa Reparata Crypt (under the cathedral) Archaeological remains of the ancient church that preceded the Duomo — interesting for history buffs.
