This guided walking tour is predominately spent strolling along the historic streets of Florence, making it the perfect introduction to the rich history of this spectacular city. With an exploration of the city's art and architecture, we concentrate on the religious center of Florence comprised of the Cathedral, Baptistery and Bell Tower, before heading to the heart of the ruling powers, with Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio and Piazzale degli Uffizi. From Medieval towers to Renaissance palaces, this private tour offers captivating insight into the legendary past of Florence. Depending on personal interests, we can also visit Piazza della Repubblica, Palazzo Strozzi, Dante's neighborhood and the famous gold bridge - the Ponte Vecchio. Discover some of the city's curiosities, from a Medieval measuring stick for checking fabric length (to check you weren't being cheated by a wily fabric merchant!), to the Renaissance version of a "walk up" window used not for food, but for wine!
