I was just six years old when my parents brought me to Florence. . . and it was love at first sight! This has continued to be the case whilst studying, working and travelling around the world. Wherever I have been, the attraction of Florence and Tyuscany has drawn me back, time after time like a magnet whose force I am powerless to resist. Each visit unfolded more of its treasures to explore and discover, from the obvious beauty and architecture of the city, its many wonderful diversity of churches, museums and to learn more of its rich and fascinating history, not to mention the delicious food and wine and specialities of Tuscany! Finally I surrendered and came to live here some twenty years ago. Now that I am an "adopted Florentine", my life and work has become sharing its riches and guiding the curious and discerning visitor to discover and share the secrets and wonders it continually reveals. My enthusiasm is boundless and I feel truly privileged to call this magnificent city MY HOME. Overview of your Florence tour
Imagine driving on Florence hills on the same car of Marcello Mastroianni as main character of the unforgotten movie "La Dolce Vita", certainly one of the most famous Italian ones, directed by Federico Fellini. I offer an excusive tour that will make your stay in Florence unforgettable! We can decide together where to start and I will take you for a ride on Florence hills, so that you can enjoy some of the most famous views, like from Piazzale Michelangelo, but also some of the nicest and most secret ones, for taking the best pictures of your trip! Up and down the hills, on shady avenues, listening, in some case, to the mid 50s 100 hp engine roar, or just the sound of wind on your face. We will drive on peaceful roads within Florentine villas, olive plantations, vineyards, very slowly sometimes, because some roads are so narrow that you will wonder how cars can drive through! I will drive you on a 1959 Triumph TR3A that my dad bough before I was born. There will be time for drinks, or gelato, all customized.
Your Florence tour itinerary
- We will decide together where to meet. - From Florence city we will reach Piazzale Michelangelo. - Then the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte. - This tour can be totally adjusted to you needs, extending it in the Chianti region for wine tasting, if you like. - I suggest it to one person only, but I can take up to three passengers, but please take note that the back seat are very uncomfortable. - For insurance reasons you will not be allowed to drive. - We have to consider the whether, because rain makes the tour not enjoyable.
