Hello ! Buongiorno ! I was always attracted by the Beauty of the city, especially the Renaissance time and that was one of the main reason to decide and to realize a dream, to study Art conservation in Florence - in one of the most beautiful cities in the world ! Thanks to my profession as an Conservator of Paintings I had the chance to get in touch and come closer to the most beautiful artworks made during the Renaissance Time. I became a licensed tour guide of Florence in 2007 and have been showing the amazing sights to visitors from all over the world with humor and enthusiasm. Whether it is your first visit, or its your second or third time in Florence, whether you're interested in the major sights, or exploring specific neighborhoods, I will be happy to create a customized route that will be enjoyable and rewarding. We will visit the Accademia Gallery to see the most famous statue of the world: Michelangelo's original David! Michelangelo is definitely one of the most famous among Florentine Renaissance artists. It is no coincidence that I am passionate about Art since I am a professional conservator of paintings and I had the chance through my work to get in touch and come closer to masterpieces in the museums of Florence. The tour will give me the opportunity to show you details you were never expecting to see! This private guided tour gives you an introduction to Michelangelo's biography, achievements and struggles during his lifetime. You will be overwhelmed by the stunning beauty of his unique masterpiece, while listening to the fascinating story of its making. A following guided walking tour in the city will retrace its presence in town, from the Duomo for which it was originally commissioned to the Signoria square where it became the symbol of the Republican's virtues and the cultural power of the city.
Christiane is a wonderful guide. Her knowledge of art is amazingly extensive. She met us at our rental apartment and walked with us to the museum. She took us straight to the most important artworks, explained them thoroughly, and had the answers to all of our questions. Now I never want to go to another museum again without Christiane!
Our guide in Florence, Christiana, is a very knowledgeable guide, we had her for a day and a half. She was absolutely delightful, and helped us everywhere she could. Being an art history major and historian, we had a great time with her knowledge and the history of the art and the town.
