Come with me and discover why coffee is considered a way of life in Italy! Immerse yourself in the rich history of Italian coffee as we stroll along the cobblestone streets in Florences City Center! Enjoy sweet treats along the way while experiencing both traditional and modern coffee techniques. Whether you are a coffee, chocolate, or pastry lover, there is something for everyone on this tour! Enjoy a traditional coffee experience at a historical cafe where notable scholars, artists, sociologists, and government officials gathered to shape the Italy we know today. As we stroll through the city center, I'll share the backstory of Florence coffee as well as how important it is in the daily life of Italians today. Between caffeinated sips, we'll stop for sweet treats at a traditional bakery as well as a family-owned boutique shop. We'll even get to experience how far coffee has come with a modern tasting with chocolate pairing. We'll finish off with a creamy & rich gelato.
·As we walk along the cobblestone streets we will make our first stop at a a historical coffee shop, where we will rub shoulders with locals and taste a traditional Italian-style coffee. ·Next, we will head over to a family-run pastry shop near Piazza della Signoria, to try a sweet treat, Cantucci, that was invented just outside of Florence. ·We will continue on our sweet tooth track as we pop into a local "pasticceria" where we will have the option of trying a seasonal baked treat or one of their daily special pastries. ·To balance out those delectable pastries, we will then head over near the Piazza dello Duomo for a delectable chocolate tasting! ·We will then finish off the tour at an artisan gelato shop, where we will indulge in our last treat of a sweet creamy gelato! The order of tastings may change and may be substituted for equally great tastings when necessary. This itinerary could be customized upon request.
