After that, I started working for an Italian tour operator in hotels in Maldives, Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt, Greece, Germany, and Switzerland. This experience helped me to improve my English and learn how to find always the best solution for any of my guests. But as I reached Florence. . . I fell in love with the town, history, and masterpieces. Any corner of this town hides a secret, legend, or piece of history. That's why I decided to become a local guide, to have the possibility to share my passion with Everybody. When I do not work. . . I sing! 1296 there was already a Cathedral. Why did the citizens of Florence decide to build a new one? Why is the baptistery so crucial for the citizens of Florence? What are the steps of the construction of the new cathedral? Who are the artists who left so many innovative decorations during the works at the Cathedral and Baptistery? I will show you the innovations made by Filippo Brunelleschi and his great competitor, Lorenzo Ghiberti, and explain the mystery of the construction of the Dome of Brunelleschi. We will see the decorations that during the centuries have been removed to leave space for the new decorations. We will see the statue that Michelangelo built for his tomb. Let's go!

I'll meet you in Piazza Duomo or at your hotel/accommodation in Florence, or in another agreed spot in Florence. We are going to move inside the Cathedral Square and we will visit: - Cathedral Square - Baptistery inside with its amazing mosaics - Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore inside and the decorations of the Dome made by Brunelleschi - Rest of the old Cathedral Santa Reparata ( underground) - Duomo Museum inside, with the amazing Paradise door, masterpieces of Donatello, the statue that Michelangelo made for its tumb, and much more. I will show you the most relevant things and be happy to answer your questions and curiosity. * This itinerary can be customized upon request. Feel free to message me to discuss further. Please note that on the first Tuesday of the month the Museum of the Cathedral is closed.
