Hello dear travelers! My name is RICCARDO and I'm an EXPERT QUALIFIED TOUR GUIDE of FLORENCE! I was born and raised in a little village next to Florence and since I was a child I got fascinated by the BEAUTIES of this city. At the age of 16 I deeply fell in love with FOREIGN LANGUAGES so I obtained a bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Literature at the University of Florence and had several experiences studying and/or working abroad (6 months studying in Madrid, Spain, 3 months working in Brighton, England, 4 months traveling around South America, and 2 years teaching Spanish and studying for a master's degree at Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida), thanks to which I can now speak fluently 4 LANGUAGES: Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese. Eventually, I decided to settled down back in FLORENCE where I started working as Tour Leader, Freelance translator, Private Spanish and English tutor, and from July 2016, I became Certified Tour Guide of Florence, which allows me to do what I LOVE the most: SHOW the beauties of my town to PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD! My goal is one: to MAKE YOUR DAY SPECIAL!! I'll SHARE MY KNOWLEDGE about Florence with you in a FRIENDLY MANNER while giving my best SUGGESTIONS about the BEST COFFEE, GELATO, or RESTAURANT of Florence! I'm an EASYGOING person passionate about ART, HISTORY, PHOTOGRAPHY, our amazing FOOD culture, and I love to spend time in the middle of the NATURE, hiking around the beautiful Florentine hills. The tours that I offer here are just EXAMPLES of what we could ORGANIZE TOGETHER according to your NEEDS and PASSIONS. The PRICE of each of my tours is PER GROUP, not per person, which means that from 1 to 5 clients (according to the tour) the cost is always the SAME! In case of bigger groups an extra price per extra client will be applied. December 2010 - Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Litterature (University of Florence, Florence, Italy) May 2014 - Master's degree in Linguistics (Florida State University, Tallahassee, USA) July 2016 - Certified Tour guide License (Florence, Italy) April 2017 - First level of Sommelier certificate (Florence, Italy) I’m not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver. I’m not permitted to guide in the Portuguese language - only Italian, English and Spanish.

Visit Florence with a young professional local tour guide like me will be one of the best experiences of your holidays, I promise! We will start with a little walk in order to learn about the history of Florence which led it to become the Cradle of Renaissance, while discovering the most important (and some minor) monuments of the city. We will then head towards the Accademia gallery where you will be astonished by the most amazing statues by Michelangelo, such as David, while discovering the eccentricity of the artist (1 hour). For lunch I will lead you to a nice restaurant where to have a good traditional Tuscan lunch (1.5/2 hours). Finally, we will visit the Uffizi gallery, the biggest collection of paintings from the Renaissance of the whole world, and in here we will admire the masterpieces of the most important painters within 5 centuries: Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio, etc. (1.5/2 hours).
See from outside: - Cathedral (Duomo) - Baptistery - Signoria Palace / Signoria Square - Ponte Vecchio - Republic Square - Orsanmichele church - Dante Alighieri's house - Piglet market (porcellino) - House towers Guided tour inside: - Accademia Gallery - Uffizi Gallery I will be happy to customize the tour according to your needs and interests. THIS TOUR IS NOT AVAILABLE ON MONDAYS AND ON THE FIRST SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH. The visit of the 2 museum can be inverted according to the tickets availability of each museum. The meeting location suggested for this tour is Piazza Repubblica, and we’ll conclude the tour inside one of the two museum in order to give you extra time to spend inside. In case you wish to be picked up at your place or be dropped off somewhere else please let me know at your earliest convenience so that I’ll have time to arrange the tour the way you prefer.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
The tour is conceived to be done by walking in order to better enjoy the beauty of this small city (easily walkable). In case of specific needs taxi rides or other solutions can be arranged.
