This experience is the ideal tour to get acquainted not only with the heart of the city but also with genuine local neighbourhoods. I guarantee it will truly enrich your stay, especially if you are a first time visitor. I'll show you my beautiful city sharing interesting facts and legends that only experts like myself know, taking you to hidden little squares and corners of the best preserved medieval district. We'll go on "journey back in time" exploring the city where the Medici, Michelangelo, Leonardo and other famous people lived. And of course, we will see the original Michelangelo's David, arguably the world's most famous sculpture. As for my speech, rest assured that I won't overdo the historical details with too many dates, I promise to be your friendly local guide that will ensure you pend good time learning about local culture, food & history!
Your Florence tour itinerary
·After meeting at the agreed on point, we'll head towards the Accademia Gallery, home of the world's most famous sculpture (The David). ·Next, we'll see the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore) and take in Brunelleschi's famous dome from the outside. ·We'll then walk to other highlights in the city centre, to Admire the church/monument Orsammichele, following the Market Porcellino” ( the piglet) ·What follows will be the Signoria square where we'll see the magnificent Palazzo Vecchio.and a rare display of statues including the original Perseus of Benvenuto Cellini and the Fountain of Neptune ·Finally, we'll get to cross the emblematic Ponte Vecchio and see its jewellery shops. This itinerary is customizable, anything you want to change or add, for example exploring the Oltrarno district after crossing the Old Bridge, is of course welcome!
