Hello everyone! I'm a Certified National Guide for over 15 years and still love every minute of it! My very first tour around Ireland was with a group of corporate clients. The tour ended with us all singing folk songs in the cellar bar of a castle hotel together with an Irish rockstar who happened to be there on the night. It is that mixture of meeting interesting people coupled with the unpredictability of where the highways and byways of Ireland will lead that still fuels my enthusiasm for every tour. I also did a Masters in Business Studies specializing in Tourism Management but for me the most important "study" before every tour is to "read the audience"! Over the years I have guided many special interest groups such as journalists, actors, football teams, business and political leaders. My aim is to always to find out what makes THEM tick and respond in an informative and entertaining way. Being a mum of three kids I also know how to show families and younger visitors the sights of Dublin in a fun way. My hidden talents are playing an old traditional Irish instrument (you might get a sample during our tour) and knowing how to make proper Irish butter from scratch! ;-) Actually, I love anything food and drink related and enjoy sharing local restaurant and pub gems. Please join me on a memorable insider tour of Dublin, tailored to YOU and great fun for all in your party! Looking forward to meeting you! - Irish Tourist Board Approved National Tour Guide with over 15 years Guiding experience, fully licensed and insured. - Extensive experience with varied clients: Families, Corporate Execs, High Profile Visitors, Special Interest Groups, Journalists, Sports Teams, Adventure Seekers, Foodies and Nature Lovers. - Masters in Business Studies - Fluent German Speaker I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car/ minibus or coach with driver. However, I am not licensed to drive myself.

Overview of your Dublin tour

Discover a spectacular coastal area of Dublin rarely explored by visitors as its highlights are tricky to find. Join me on trails and tracks only the locals know with breath-taking views along the way. On a half hour train journey we gradually leave the busy city behind and discuss what you'd like to see, how long you'd like to walk or hike and what pace and level you'd like to go at. There are options to suit all ages and fitness levels! Beaches, cliffs, forests and spectacular look-out points, wild gorse-covered hills, colorful coastal villages with ancient castles and perhaps even a dolphin or seal along the way. Where the streets have no name ;-) we will pass the mansions of some of Ireland's world-famous music stars as well as seeing humble fisherman's cottages on route. During a break with stunning views, let's enjoy a typical local drink before heading back into a bustling seaside town with time to explore its medieval harbour, castle and quaint pubs. Please dress for Irish weather! Layers are best.

What an absolute pleasure to get out of Dublin and see the glorious coastline south of the city! Tanya was an excellent guide, meeting us right on time in the lobby of our hotel and taking us on a wonderful adventure north on DART and then meandering with us through paths and trails we would never have found for ourselves. Our time together flew by as she told us a bit of local history, shared some of her incredible knowledge of native plants, and answered our endless questions. We even suspect she was responsible for the much-better-than-expected weather! If you're wanting a little exercise and some wonderful views off the beaten path, I can't imagine a better choice.

From the moment I met Tanya, she felt like a good friend I'd known for a long time. She's full of the Irish craic (fun and good vibes), and she was a great guide and companion throughout the entire tour. She provided great nuggets of information about both Dublin and the Kilkenny and Dalkey areas. I appreciated her extensive knowledge of the area, including the flora and fauna, as well as its history. The sunny coastal views and the special picnic were memorable treasures, as was Tanya.

This is a lovely walking tour of some beautiful beaches, forests, and seasides on the outskirts of Dublin. What a lovely way to spend the day! Tanya worked with our family group to be sure everyone was interested and engaged and she accommodated a wide range of energy levels and mobility needs! We learned about edible flowers, saw places only locals know, and learned the history of a couple communities on the outskirts of Dublin! I highly recommend this day trip!

If you are someone who wants to see and experience the city of Dublin Ireland I cannot even imagine there would be any one in the world who could do a better job then Tanya J. Her spirt and personality alone would be enough reason to spend a day with her but when you add in her tour skills, knowledge of the city and surrounding area's and her expertise in Irish history the day couldn't have been more fantastic !!

Your Dublin tour itinerary

I can collect you at a central point of your choice and a full-day public transport ticket is included in the tour. We start with a scenic half hour train journey, gradually leaving the hustle and bustle of the city centre behind. Upon arrival at a crescent shaped bay on the edge of Dublin we begin with a beach walk and explore the sea shore. The area is also home to many Irish and international stars, you never know who you might bump into! Depending on fitness levels, the weather and the time you'd like to spend hiking or sight-seeing we plan our route accordingly. There are many options and we can change with the wind! We will finish our tour at a quaint seaside village from where you can catch the train back to the city centre. Or stay for a while in one of the many lovely pubs, cafes or restaurants for some great local seafood or a pint. I will also point out a medieval castle and the literary heritage of the area if you want to explore some more after our tour &before taking the train back to the city.
