Hi there! I am Diana :)
My passion in life (next to my loved ones) is travelling and meeting new people, showing others the beauty of the world, art in various forms. My private guided day tours are experiences that are unique and are a great way to do an interesting activity without being overwhelmed. You get to do something only few other travellers would get to do and a chance to gain a local perspective. On many of the tours we would enjoy a picnic at an atmospheric spot. As your guide, I want to open you the door to Ireland's untouched beauty, from scenic cliffs to fairytale like forests and would point out many details you wouldn't uncover on your own. You might also like to do an activity which can be difficult without local knowledge, like hiking or horse riding - I am here to help and guide you.
I'll handle all the planning and the driving on the left hand side of the road, so all you have to do is sit back, relax, and soak in the beautiful sights and compelling stories. Ireland won't leave you untouched and I will be delighted to be your guide and 'local expert' here. Hope to see you on one of my trips to the heart and soul of our beautiful country! - Failte Ireland Accredited Tour Guide - Member of ITGA (Independent Tour Guide Association) - PHD in Language and Culture Studies N/A

Overview of your Dublin tour

This tour provides a unique combination of both iconic sites and hidden gems. You will be taken to places that are interesting and important but not as touristy as Newgrange. You will discover ancient and medieval Celtic history of Ireland and enjoy beautiful and relaxing landscapes of Irish countryside. You'll have me, your personal informative guide who will make the tour interesting and fun. You'll learn some fascinating facts about ancient history and enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. There will be the opportunity to see the prehistoric art at this archeological site, the 7th century monastery ruins, the impressive Anglo-Norman castle in Trim, one of the largest in Ireland. We'll have lunch from locally sourced produce in a local cafe offering some lovely views, and have a tour of a small authentic distillery by its owner. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the town of Kells, the round tower and high crosses - many people would see the town of Kells and learn the stories.

Your Dublin tour itinerary

We are going explore to 4 sites with only short drives between, each of them incredible in their own right. We'll start with visiting the Neolithic burial sites at Loughcrew and taking a short hike to one of Ireland's biggest megalithic sites Loughcrew Cairns. We'll continue our day by visiting Fore Abbey, the extensive ruins containing seven wonders where St. Fechin founded a Christian monastery. Then it's time for a break for lunch and a distillery tour. After that, we'll go either to the town of Kells or largest Anglo-Norman Trim Castle. Then we return to Dublin. Drop off will be at your accommodation or port. * Itinerary can be customized.
