I have a detailed knowledge of the history, geography and culture of the city and its environment. I am a fully badged Irish Tourist Board (Failte Ireland) approved Tour Guide, a National Tourist Guide. I have years of experience as a hillwalking leader in and around the city and the Dublin and Wicklow mountains (including the Wicklow Way). I have been guiding in various forms in Dublin and its environs for many years simply because I love it. I have completed every state course available in tour guiding but having worked in every nook and cranny of this city and coutry for a lifetime I feel that my passion for it will speak volumes for my ability to portray it to you in private tours. October 2012 I successfully completed a Certificate Course in Tour Guiding with Failte Ireland, The Irish Tourist Board. In July 2013 I successfully completed a National Tourist Guide Badge Course with Failte Ireland. I have a taxi licence (SPSV) and a D1 minibus licence to carry up to 16 people. Fully insured Tour Operator. Commencing May 2015 I am licenced to drive up to 16 people in a small to medium vehicle up to a minibus. Tours in English only.

Half Day Stunning County Wicklow Hike
Overview of your Dublin tour
Take a breathtaking walk in stunning County Wicklow after a drive from your chosen Dublin venue, hotel or cruise ship. The intention is to bring guests to County Wicklow, just south of Dublin city, and take them on a hike of a duration that suits the abilities. I am a mountain leader with more than 30 years experience of hiking all over Ireland (and many other parts of the world). The Wicklow Way is a world famous waymarked walk with which I am very familiar. Just about every weekend that I am not touring I am usually found hiking the paths and trails and even wild moorland in County Wicklow. The fabulous scenery is great food for the soul and quite often the only company out in the more remote parts are perhaps the occasional sheep or fox. There are also a great many off the beaten track places to investigate among the many beautiful Wicklow mountains (known as The Garden of Ireland). These mountains are also the largest concentration of granite in the British Isles and home to huge herds of wild deer.
Your Dublin tour itinerary
- I can arrange to pick up folks from a Dublin or Wicklow hotel or from a Dublin cruise ship. I can also arrange to meet guests in Wicklow by appointment. - The intention would be to hike in the most scenic parts of Wicklow by prior arrangement with the guests. - We would hike and cycle across many of the tracks and trails of this beautiful county. It is packed with mountains, rivers and lakes. Here are some highlights from Wicklow hikes: . Highest mountain Lugnaquilla (300ft) . Views of the lakes at Glendalough from way above . The spectacular Great Sugarloaf mountain . The man made reservoir at the top of a mountain, Turlough Hill. .
