Welcome to Ireland ! My name is Hogan and I'm delighted to join ToursByLocals from June 2022! I'm a National Tour Guide, based in Dublin and covering the entire island of Ireland. I'm a Chauffeur Guide for small private groups (up to 7 guests), as well as doing Shore Excursions, Walking Tours and personal Genealogy Tours. I'm also a Genealogist with over 35 years experience, which has given me a unique insight into the deep connection people of Irish heritage all over the world feel towards this beautiful island country. There are more than 100 million people around the world who claim Ireland as their ancestral home! But Ireland enchants visitors of every background, not just those of Irish descent, and I love sharing my passion for Ireland with every guest for whom I have the privilege to be their guide or driver guide. Whether it's the Ring of Kerry, the Wild Atlantic Way, or Co. Antrim's stunning Causeway Coast, Ireland has some of the World's most breath-taking coastal scenery, and there are "postcard views" around every corner. And there's much more to Ireland than simply beautiful scenery; our culture, music, and writers have all found world acclaim. Ireland is home to some of the World's finest Stone Age archaeology, and then there's our history: Ireland's story is one of successive arrivals and settlement, invasion, conflict, tragedy and triumph, but ultimately, it's a story about people. It's a story which will beguile you, enchant you, and capture your heart. All my tours can be customized upon request. Come, discover our story - let me help you Fill Your Heart with Ireland! National Tour Guide (White badge), recognized by the Irish Tourist Board. Licensed chauffeur, guiding in my own limousine. None

Overview of your Dublin tour

A voyage of discovery, to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Brú na Bóinne, an enormous complex of 5, 000 year old tombs. If you love history & archaeology, this will be among the most memorable days of your life! And if you think you don't like history and archaeology, prepare to discover that you do! The highlight of today's tour is a visit to the spectacular Stone Age tomb of Newgrange. This tomb is the pinnacle of Stone Age monument building in Ireland, and is among the finest anywhere in the World. It is a celebration of engineering, astronomy, and the human experience! Depending on the time you have available, we might also visit Knowth Stone Age tomb, the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Center, or alternatively detour to see what is probably the finest carved stone Celtic Cross in the world, dating from 923AD. This tour has been created to permit a very focused visit to Newgrange if you only have 4-5 hours to spare.
