Cead míle fáilte romhat! "A hundred thousand welcomes to you!" The fair city of Dublin is an UNESCO City of Literature, the home of famous musicians and unknown storytellers, of Irish freedom-fighters, and it's also where all pubs are born! From the GPO and Ireland's long fight for independence to Merrion Sq and Dublin's Georgian glory, from the Book of Kells and Ireland's Golden Age to Christchurch Cathedral and Dublin's Gothic Age, Dublin has so much to offer. I am an experienced, energetic, passionate, enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide of Dublin City and have given over a hundred and fifty tours of Dublin to thousands of visitors. As well as being a certified tour guide, I have B. A. Int. in Medieval Irish and Celtic Studies, so I have the legends and the facts that guide books will never have. As we walk the streets, I'll recount the stories and the histories, sing the songs, recite the poems, deliver the jokes, and tell you the banter of this charming city. You'll be hard-pressed to find anyone who can match my styles and be passionate & emotional, dramatic & theatrical, interactive and funny and epic(!) all on the same tour! So join me on a stroll through Dublin's alleys, trod the same cobbled streets as Oscar Wilde, Jonathan Swift and Bram Stoker, smell the hops from the Guinness Brewery, view the riverscape from Ha'Penny Bridge, and just live the atmosphere of this historic, dramatic and fascinating city. And as the friendliest capital city in the world, you're sure to establish some friendships here in Dublin! Beatrice's Tour Guiding Certificate I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver. Guiding inside some attractions, e.g. Trinity Library, Dublinia, is restricted somewhat.

You can't possibly do everything in a city, but hey, that shouldn't stop us trying! The most varied tour yet, 'Tasting (nearly!) All of Dublin in 5 hours' is a leisurely stroll through the streets, sampling the full flavour of Irish history and Irish cuisine. This is a food-themed version of '(Nearly!) All of Dublin in 5 hours' so as well as 4-8 food stops, we'll visit most of the sites and learn the most fascinating history (where did the Irish come from, Northern Ireland, Irish language). Food (cakes, snacks, tapas, coffee, beer), sights as well as your own private guided tour of one of the city's must-do attractions (National Museum or Old Library of Trinity), will full up the day. Bellies, heads and hearts full of glorious Dublin - there's always room for ice-cream! As we walk the streets, I'll recount the stories and the histories, sing the songs, recite the poems, deliver the jokes, and tell you the banter of this charming city. Cead míle fáilte romhat! "A hundred thousand welcomes to you!"

An amazing tour. We loved seeing the book of Kells. Our favorite food was the ice cream.
What a great way to explore Dublin! We flew in early morning and Garvan was at our hotel waiting for us, with a huge smile and enough energy to make up for the rest of us being jet-lagged. He was so knowledgeable and the enthusiasm he has for Dublin’s history was amazing. This tour was great- mixing in stops for a bit of food and drink kept the perfect pace. We were determined to stay awake all day to try and adjust to the time and Garvan made that easy to do by keeping us all engaged! Definitely recommend.
What a Great Day with Garvan!!! He is the best tour guide we have ever had. We booked the six hour walking tour and the time flew by. Garvan is extremely knowledgable, providing us with a great understanding of the History, Art and Culture of Dublin. He was professional, courteous, personable and had a great sense of humor which made our day very memorable. We had several stops alon the way to experience some of the local food and ended the day sharing a pint at one of Dublin’s fine Pub’s. We strongly recommend Garvan and the six hour tour for a great time in Dublin.
Was a very enjoyable walk around Dublin. It was nice getting to know the history of the city from someone loves sharing it. It was 5 1/2 hours of walking but at a nice easy pace. After the tour we were still able to enjoy the rest of the evening because we were not worn out.
Garvan is extremely knowledgeable and his passion for the history and culture of Ireland made the tour a blast! We were able to see a remarkable number of sites including Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin Castle, the Temple Bar area, Grafton Street, St. Stephen's Green, Trinity College, The General Post Office, Ha'penny Bridge, and others while enjoying food and drinks from stops at Leo Burdock, The Bank, Bewley's on Grafton Street, and an assortment if Irish cheeses and beer and whiskeys at Darkey Kelley's
