A deeper dive than my 3- and 4-hour tours, this tour allows time for the more curious travellers to explore the whys and wherefores of our stories and sights. From our Pagan beginnings through Christianity onto Dublin's Viking beginnings though the medieval era, incorporating British rule and Ireland's hard won independence. This is a 5 hour private tour and offers an insight into Dublin and its place in Irish and world history along with a stop for lunch and your poison of choice. Meet you at your hotel. You choose the preferred start time The celts, Viking Dublin, Christchurch or St Patrick's cathedral. Then onward through the famous Temple Bar cultural quarter to Dublin castle and the Medieval times, to the Georgian quarter , as well as Trinity college Please let me know your tastes or any food allergies if and if your party would prefer brunch / afternoon Tea, /Bar or Restaurant food when booking.
Jay led an excellent tour. She was very tuned into how to present the history and culture in a way that was meaningful to us. It was totally engaging! At the end it felt like we were long time friends. As a somewhat slower paced group she accommodated our speed while keeping our minds moving. Definitely would reconnect for a future tour should we be back in the area.

Our tour consisted of Irish history, main sites and attractions, great food and drink, but more importantly Jay was able to make a connection to our Irish heritage. It was a WELCOME HOME. The day was spending time with a friend. Get ready to learn, laugh and watch a full day melt in a minute. Every person I know going to Ireland will hear of Jay, and I will certainly use her again.

Jay provided an excellent tour of Dublin. She provided the details and background of the history of the various peoples that inhibited the Country and contributed to the culture that is Ireland today. We had an awesome tour with Jay! She spent the beginning of the tour getting to know us and figuring out what types of things we wanted to see, then customized the tour for our family. We made lots of stops, learned a ton about Dublin and Irish history, and we loved lunch. As a bonus, she gave us ideas to plan the rest of the day.
