I am Cornelius, a Killarney based tour guide and driver, I am Irish Tourist Board approved with a white badge certification. I use a new 7 seat vehicle with leather seating, dual zone air conditioning and Wi-Fi on board I've got quite a bit of experience under my belt - I started out doing some part-time local tour work here in Killarney a number of years ago. My background is actually in sales, I used to work in commercial air conditioning and then moved into radio, but I really enjoyed the tour work and the interaction with visitors, so I decided to take it more seriously, becoming a full time driver guide. I completed the national tour guide programme, this is a QQI level 6 course which allows me to lead tours all across Ireland, not just the Killarney area. I am fully licensed and insured, having an SPSV licence issued by the National Transport Authority, I also have a full category D and D1 for driving larger vehicles, I am also a member of the ITGA Independent Tour Guides Association and a member of the Approved Tour Guides of Ireland. The top tours I offer are the Ring of Kerry, the Dingle Peninsula, and the Cliffs of Moher along the Wild Atlantic Way. I find a lot of travellers are interested in those iconic Irish destinations, however I am very happy to tailor tours to meet every individual requirement and each tour is designed to encompass as much of the rich heritage that you will experience including the history, music, scenery and food. These days, I use my own luxury 7-passenger vehicle complete with leather seating, multi-zone air conditioning and free Wi-Fi which gives me more flexibility to offer personalized tours for smaller groups. I love being able to share my local knowledge and insider tips with visitors. Whether it takes the best spots for photos, hidden gems off the beaten path, or insights into the history and culture, I´m always happy to provide that personal touch.
