Cead Mile Failte My name is Barry and I'm a vibrant travel enthusiast from the smallest county in Ireland. I'm a fully approved Failte Ireland National Tour Guide and hold a full SPSV licence. I've been doing private tours of Ireland in my fresh luxury MPV for over 8 years now (Up to 6 persons per tour). I've a real passion for my country and the feedback I get from my guests makes doing my job all the more satisfying. I really like to go 'above and beyond' to make the experience extra special for all my guests. I'm a country boy at heart and grew up on the family potato farm outside Ardee, in County Louth. I travelled the world all over in my 20's and developed a true love for what I now do back then. Meeting new people and simply having the best fun. I worked many years in the Food and Drink industries in various sales management roles before eventually been brave enough to set up my own adventure within the tourism sector. I'm a major sports fan and in particular for our own national game 'Gaelic Football' which I played for many years and have coached at senior level. I'm extremely passionate about Irish History, Heritage and Culture and my tours really give you an insight into the real Emerald Isle. When we journey across the Island, you experience the best 'cliff-view' on the planet as ranked by Conde Nast Traveller. Our first stop is at the medieval 15th century Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, the most authentic castle in Ireland. After some lunch we travel to the majestic Cliffs of Moher along the Wild Atlantic Way. The most scenic drive through the pre-historic Burren landscape awaits with a visit to the megalithic Poulnabrone Dolmen tomb. We grab a coffee at the Hazel Mountain Chocolate Factory before ending our day in Galway City. On Day 2 soak up the bustling atmosphere of Galway's most famous streets and visit the stunning Galway Cathedral nearby. After lunch in the seaside town of Salthill we head back towards Dublin with an optional stop at Kilbeggan Whiskey Distillery.
