Namaskar, I am Pratibha - a teacher by profession and a fond traveller. Over the years with support of a loving family, I developed a passion for traveling and exploring culture and new attractions. My city was flooded in 1961 as Panshet Dam wall burst. It canged the geography of Pune. It was disastrous. Depending on location of hotel route may change. We will explore historical places such as Aga Khan Palace ,Pataleshwar cave , Shaniwar wada .Dagdushet Ganapati . Cultural heritage can be seen at Raja Kelkar museum , and old city market. We take a walk for 15-20 minutes from Shaniwar wada to Dagdushet Ganapati to experience local life .
If you decide to do this tour then you’ve made a great decision but also book Pratibha. She is not only knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating but a lovely person. We were with her when there was a festival that didn’t expect and she made it part of the tour. She even took us to the market for sugarcane juice - which was delicious. Can’t recommend this tour or her enough - 5 stars!
A good tour - there's probably not as much to see in Pune as some Indian cities but Pratibha was knowledgeable and helpful and showed us all that we had expected. The fort in particular was the highlight
Prabhita was a very knowledgeable guide and very pleasant to spend the day with. She did an excellent job explaining the rich cultural history of Pune and was very organized in orchestrating the tour. It was a highlight of our trip and I would highly recommend her
I will pick you up from your Hotel lobby at your chosen time. We will start this private tour by visiting Aga Khan Palace ,8th century Pataleshwar cave temple. Then we explore Shaniwar wada-seat/residence of Peshwas. We walk , for 15_20 minutes exploring local life , by Lal Mahal where King Shivaji spent his childhood. We visit , Dagdushet Halwai Ganapati _ Hindu Ganesha temple_Pride of Pune. We get back into the car and drive along crowded road through Mahatma Phule Mandai to reach Raja Kelkar museum which is single man collection of 18th, 19th century articles.
