Olympia, Winery, Olive Press and Seaside Half Day Tour

My name is Christos and I have worked in the tourism industry since 1986, organizing tours all over Greece. All of these years I have travelled many times in Greece, Europe, North and South America and Asia, gaining personal experience from the position of a professional but also as a tourist. I was born in Athens but I am a resident of Olympia the last 12 years. I have studied tourism in Athens Technological Institute for my Bachelors degree and in the University of Surrey U. K. for my masters in Tourism Marketing. I understand that every individual traveler has different expectations and I'm making efforts to customize to the extent possible the experience that Olympia and the major area around have to offer. I myself own and drive a brand new luxury type fully airconditioned Mercedes minivan. I speak fluent English and give information to our guests about the natural environment, the way of life in Greece, the Greek culture, and also translate so that an interactive experience is created. My guests can be guided in privately owned farms, wineries, soap making facilities, olive presses or join river side activities and water sports. During the visit in the above places I escort and guide my clients. The tours are also involving presentations and/or demonstrations of special skills and practices. All the years that I have lived in Olympia I have explored the area and discovered many different attractions so I will be able to give my customers many options to choose from and create the experience that they would like to have when visiting Olympia. My aim is to give a warm welcome and offer my guests an experience that would meet with their expectations and create an environment to allow my guests as travelers, to the extent that they prefer, to be able to interact and create with me a tour that would be a memorable experience. I studied Tourism at the Technological Institute of Athens. In 2001 I completed my post graduate studies at the University of Surrey in the U.K. where I was awarded an Msc in Tourism Marketing. For more than a decade I served the tourism industry in Greece as a hotel Manager and held a position in Olympia from 2001 until 2006. The last eight years I teach Tourism Management at the Technological Institute of Patras. I am not a licensed guide and will not be able to guide you inside of the historical monuments.
