Theocharis was an outstanding guide, and our tour of Olympia was fantastic. We especially enjoyed visiting the winery and the honey farm—both were magnificent and added so much to the experience. Awesome day! Harry got us to Olympia early in our private car and we had the entire place to ourselves. After that-we visited local sites that experience the real world of Olympia. Absolutely great day away from the tourist traps and the crowds!

We had the best time today on our excursion with Theocharis. He is so passionate about sharing his hometown. He set up the itinerary to maximize our time. And his itinerary includes places you would not normally find with other guides. Visiting a local Monastary and family winery was such a treat. I highly recommend using Theocharis as your guide in Katakolon.
Six of us booked a tour with Theo from the port in Katakolon, Greece. He took us to Olympia, an active monastery, and wine tasting in a nice van with a great driver. He took us to the Original Olympic Games site first and was the right strategy as we beat the masses from multiple cruise ships in port! Theo was very responsive every time we communicated. He was waiting for us as we got off the ship at the dock. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the island. One person in our group had a little difficulty with mobility and he was very accommodating as best he could. Theo is personable, passionate, and willing to please and these are some of Theo’s best assets used to curate a great tour! If we ever come back to Katakolon, we would definitely use him again and highly recommend him as a guide.
- The meeting hour will be based on your ship's arrival. The meeting usually is scheduled to start 15 minutes after the ship's docking at the port of Katakolon. - The drive to Olympia lasts 30 minutes. - The visit to Olympia site and museum takes approximately 2 hours. There you will have free time to explore the ruins and museum (please note I will not be escorting you inside as I am not licensed guide) - We meet up at the exit of the site and the next stop will be Magna Grecia winery. It takes about 10 minutes to get there. - The visit to the winery contains wine tasting and treat with traditional vegetable snacks (1. 5 hours). - Next stop is Klio's honey farm. Nice rural farmhouse with treat of local panckakes served with home made honey (1 hour). - Next stop is Virgin Mary monastery. Really astonishing place where the church is inside rocks. Place worth to visit (1 hour) - The beach is located near the port . It takes 15 minutes to get there from Pyrgos - Transfer back to the port
