Olympia Walking Tour with a Local Guide

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely incredible – Niki made Ancient Olympia come alive!** We had the most wonderful experience with Niki V. on our walking tour of Ancient Olympia. From the moment we met her, she was warm, friendly, engaging and incredibly knowledgeable. Niki’s knowledge of Olympia, its history, the ancient Olympic Games and the archaeological site was absolutely incredible. Rather than simply walking us around and pointing out ruins, she brought the whole place to life with her stories and explanations. She helped us understand what we were actually looking at and imagine what Olympia would have been like thousands of years ago. Her passion for the history of Olympia really shines through, and she has a wonderful way of sharing an enormous amount of knowledge while still making the tour interesting, relaxed and easy to follow. We learned so much from her and found ourselves completely absorbed in everything she was telling us. Visiting Ancient Olympia was something we were really looking forward to on our trip through Europe, and having Niki as our guide made the experience so much more special and memorable. We genuinely could not recommend Niki highly enough. If you are visiting Olympia, do yourself a favour and book a tour with her. If I could give Nikki 10 stars I would - she was an absolutely amazing guide! She truly brought Olympia to life - not only through her incredible store of knowledgeable (which is beyond belief) but she has an incredible knack for being able to read her clients and in turn interact with them in a way that makes the entire experience even more fantastic. She picks up on social queues like no one I've ever met and as such the banter & interaction was truly wonderful and what made the experience top notch!

Niki was an excellent guide for the Olympic buildings and museum. She skillfully explained the history and purpose of every Olympic building. She helped us understand the awe inspired by the 40 foot tall statue of Zeus. With Niki as our guide, we could catch a glimpse of what it would have been like to attend the original Olympics. She skillfully led us through the museum explaining the stories behind the artifacts held there including the statue of Hermes and the statues from the Temple of Zeus.

Niki provided a wonderful tour of the region. She was extremely knowledgable and relational. She took the time to customize our tour to our needs and to get to know us. Great communication and prompt, attention to detail. Our time in the area was GREATLY enhanced by Niki and her knowledge and ability to deliver what she knew. Highly recommend!

Top guide for amazing site and history. Much attention to the true spirit of the ancient Olympiërs. Good timing and interaction with our family (4 boys between 21-30) and two girlfriends.
