Zoe was a fantastic guide. Meet us promptly at our designated meeting place. As her driver was taking us to Olympia, Zoe was able to give us wonderful history of the area. She even educated us on the current agriculture endeavors as her family is involved in farming. Very interesting to our group as we are farmers also. Once to Olympia, the magnificent ruins were explained as we walked around the entire complex. Zeus and Hera's temples allowed my imagination to conjure images of how magnificent and huge these intact structures would have been. The Olympic stadium was my most memorable moment, as I enjoy the modern Olympics so much. I stood at the birthplace of the Olympics. The archaeological museum brought the tour together as we could see some of the actual statues and masterpieces of the era. Zoe did a wonderful job, and I highly recommend her as a guide for Olympia.

Your Olympia tour itinerary
Welcome to the Peloponnese! Meet me at the designated area of the port, sit back, relax and let me do the rest. Boarding our luxurious private vehicle, we will have our professional driver take us to Olympia. Along the way we will pass several groves and I'll tell you everything about life in this area and its history. Once there I will purchase your tickets skipping the lines and then start guiding you through the "alive ruins" of what was the sanctuary of Zeus and the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Among other things we will see the gymnasiums, the temple of Zeus, the temple of Hera and the altar where the modern Olympic flame is lit, the stadium and more. Just a few hundreds meters away lies the archaeological museum where among other things we will admire and I will present to you the pediments of the Zeus temple, the statue of Nike, the masterpiece of Hermes by Praxiteles and a collection of bronzes from the archaic times. After this 2. 5 hours long visit we will drive back to the port.
