I was born in Prague and spent a happy childhood here. I remember taking long walks with my grandfather and visiting all the historical places. Little did I know that one day, I would be showing this beautiful city and country to people, from all over the world. My grandfather would be proud. Eventually, my family moved first to Germany, where I learned German and then to the USA, where I got most of my education. In the year 2000, communism having been abolished, I returned to the Czech Republic, and live in Prague again. On my return, I went through the proper schooling to get my guide license for Prague and the Czech Republic and lead tours in Prague and all the "worth seeing" places in this country. Due to having spent so much time in the USA and Germany, I speak English, Czech and German perfectly. I do occasionally stray and lead international tours outside of the Czech Republic in Europe and the world but for the most part, I stay in Prague. I love to show this magnificent city and country to people from everywhere. Having the local and global experience as well as the language knowledge, I am sure you will get the most out of your stay in Prague and the Czech Republic on any of my tours. Overview of your Dresden tour

Dresden, Germany is only a 1. 5 hour drive from Prague. I will take you there and show you its beauty such as the Frauenkirche - Church of our Lady, the museums and much more. Please note, the Historical Green Vault Museum requires reservations in advance. Please let us know that you would like to visit it and we will make the reservations for you. The green vault is closed on Tuesdays. The Old Masters Gallery, where the Raphaels' famous angels are, is closed every Monday.

Your Dresden tour itinerary

The historical center of Dresden is located on the left bank of the Elbe. Protected for centuries by mighty fortifications, it was a cultural center for hundreds of years. Even today the buildings from the renaissance, baroque and 19th century architecture determine the Elbe front and the face of the city. In spite of vast destruction during the Second World War, the old city part of Dresden has preserved or regained it's fascinating historical buildings. The most famous symbol of reconstruction in the city center is the Dresden Frauenkirche , "the Church of our Lady". Many important cultural institutions are situated along the old city side of the Elbe banks, from the Old Masters Picture Gallery to the "Green Vault", the treasure chamber of the Saxon electors and kings. We leave early to spend as much time in Dresden as possible.
