We did a day trip from Berlin to Dresden. Silvia made sure the train ride was accurate and met us on the platform as we exited. Dresden is a beautiful city and has beautiful art and treasure that somehow survived the war. We are so happy we did this day Trip and highly recommend Silvia.
Silvia was a wonderful tour guide who gave our group great perspective on Dresden throughout it's history. We had 3 Americans and 2 Germans on this tour and the discussions about life before and after the wall fell in 1989 were fascinating. We enjoyed hearing Silvia's perspective. Silvia was extremely knowledgable about Dresden's history and where it's Christmas markets were. She was patient and friendly throughout the day. It was very nice of her to be able to to show us around and give us recommendations for the rest of our trip.

Ms. Troster is a great guide- very knowledgeable and very pleasant to be with. We visited Dresden and museums in a very efficient manner, managing to see a lot in a relatively short amount of time- which shows Ms Troster’s organizational qualities. This was our first time using Tours by Locals and I would highly recommend it in general and having Ms Troster as a guide in particular.
Silvia was an excellent guide. She gave us lots of background information to the history of Saxony and this part of Germany which was really interesting.
