Hello dear Berlin Visitor, I’m Nadav Jacob, I am living in Berlin for the last 13 years. During this time, I had the privilege of guiding tourists and groups from all over the world, taking them to an exciting journey through the past, present, and future of Berlin and Germany. Berlin is a city full of life and rich in history. From it's vibrant restaurants, bars, and clubs, to the profound historical events of the 20th century, Berlin has something for everyone. From Imperial Germany to the Nazis and the Second World War, to the Cold War era and the division of the city by the Berlin Wall, the city’s history touches us all. I’d love to take you through the key moments and events that shaped our modern world. Along the way, I’ll share captivating stories, funny anecdotes, and interesting facts, while recommending the best spots for leisure and showing you around one of the largest and most vibrant cities in the EU today. A bit about me: I’m a PhD student researching society and the internet. Originally from Israel, I fell in love with Berlin and decided to stay, learning about its history and exploring the fascinating stories that make this city unique. What to expect on the tour: A comprehensive overview of Berlin’s highlights and Main Sites Fun and informative historical stories, tailored to your interest Recommendations on what to do, where to go, and tips that can save you time and money A personalized experience, with careful attention to your unique needs and expectations I’d also be happy to assist you via WhatsApp before and after the tour for any questions, directions, or advice about your trip in the city. Feel free to contact me in advance if you have any questions before booking. Namaste!

Overview of your Berlin tour

Jews were spread worldwide after being exiled from their land. Many settled in central Europe, staying steadfast in keeping their old faith and customs amid constant persecutions. Germany, including Berlin, excluded the Jews from daily life, but they insisted to integrate and eventually received full rights as citizens. From isolated ghettos and communities, they climbed to an influential social positions in the economy, science, culture and the new emerging democratic politics of Germany until the Nazis took power. The tour will tell the story of the Jewish community in Berlin and Germany and the Nazi attempt to eradicate them from Europe. This tour has special meaning for me as I descended from European Jews and I find interest in the history of the Jews in Europe and Berlin. I would love to share this knowledge and take you trough this fascinating historical experience.

Jacob took us on 2 two day tours. He was very knowledgeable and organized. He is a great story teller and really made the tour come alive. The tour was more about just seeing the sights; it was about bringing the sights of Berlin to life and making you feel the city. I do not think I would have loved the city as much as I did without his tours and insights. I would definitely recommend him. In addition, I had messaged him and asked for customization of our tours and he was very willing to do that.

We had an unforgettable experience exploring Berlin with our tour guide Jakob who went above and beyond to create a meaningful and deeply personal journey for us. We visited Jewish heritage sites, as well as specific sites that were meaningful to my family. Jakob researched those places that held significance to our family’s history and included them in the itinerary and discussion. His knowledge of Berlin’s and its Jewish history was extensive, and he shared it with sensitivity, insight, and passion. He provided historical context and it was clear that he cared deeply about preserving and honoring the memory of the past. We saw important landmarks and also connected with our roots in a way that was both moving and unforgettable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a meaningful and personalized experience in Berlin.

Jacob was very knowledgeable and gave us an interesting and comprehensive tour this morning. We enjoyed the tips he gave us on places to visit after the tour and also movies to watch that would elaborate on what we had seen on the walking tour. We look forward to another tour with him tomorrow.

Nadav was extremely well versed and clear with the loads of information he shared regarding the tour. The time was for a 3 hour tour and it could have been longer as there was just so much to see and understand and take in. The places we visited were so interesting and with the help and guidance of Nadav it made this tour incredible. Highly recommend anyone visiting Berlin who has any interest in this kind of tour to reach out for Nadav if he is available.
