From Giza to Saqqara: Private Pyramids, Sphinx & the Birthplace of Pyramid Architecture

Tarek was a fantastic driver and guide! He customised our tour prior to our trip to ensure we could maximise our time by visiting the Pyramids at Giza in the morning and Saqqara in the afternoon, with a delicious lunch stop between. He arranged a camel and buggy combination ride for us while in Giza so that we (two adults and one child) could experience the other side of the pyramids for the classic view minus the Cairo skyline. He was incredibly knowledgable and ensured that there were facts to entertain our 9 year old too. We had requested to go inside the step pyramid at Saqqara as well as the Serapeum (highlight of the day!) and he took us to see inside some other tombs too. I would not hesitate to recommend him as a guide. Thank you!

Tarek is an excellent guide and shares his extensive knowledge of Egypt/Cairo in a warm and professional manner. We had a great tour of the Giza Plateau followed by a tour of the famous Cairo market. Totally enjoyable and relaxing.

There are no words to express how absolutely thrilled we were with our tour today! Our guide Tarek was simply the best! He was so knowledgeable and gave us so much interesting information throughout our tour, and he was able to answer every question we had. He was thorough in his explanations of all of the places we visited; his ability to explain what we were seeing made everything come alive for us. He was very proactive before our tour, reaching out with confirmation of pick-up and locations. He made sure we were comfortable during the tour and was always very careful of our well-being. His knowledge of Ancient Egypt was very extensive, and we were able to ask many questions for which he always had an answer for. His command of the English language was excellent, which made our time together even better. The location he took us to for lunch was also excellent, with plenty of good food. At the end of our tour, he suggested a dinner cruise on the Nile, which we took advantage of and also enjoyed very much. We highly recommend Tarek, you'll have the best guide ever!

I travel the world and take A LOT of tours and I can say with confidence Tarek is at the top for guides I have ever had. He is intelligent, speaks very good English, is patient and is 100 per committed to making the tour the best he can. He not only spent the day with me teaching me about Egyptian history and taking me to the pyramids, but he also talked to be so much about culture, food, and daily life of modern Egypt. He was more than happy to answer my many questions I had no matter the topic. I was so glad I had booked this tour and his guide service is definitely worth the money I paid. My particular tour included a delicious lunch and we were met by so many people showing kind and friendly Egyptian hospitality along the way. Also note he is a very safe driver and made the journey on Cairo’s roads interesting with conversation.

We had a wonderful time with Tarek. We felt well looked after and taken care of. He has so much knowledge it was great to learn from him. It was amazing to see the pyramids and learn all about the history. I’m happy we also saw Saqqar as not many people do when they tour cairo. The day went by smoothly with no problems.
