What does it feel like to walk in the footsteps of pharaohs, to hear the echoes of history in the wind, and to feel the magic of the Nile at night? My name is Rasha Hamid, and as an Egyptologist and tour guide with 22 years of experience, it is my passion to share that feeling with you. A graduate of Cairo University and a proud member of WFTGA and EGTGS, I believe that the real treasures of Egypt are not just in the ancient pyramids, but in the vibrant tapestry of its daily life. I want to show you the heart of Egypt—the hidden gems in its bustling streets, the serene beauty of its Coptic and Islamic quarters, and the genuine warmth of its people. Whether you are a solo traveler or a large group, I will custom-design an itinerary that is truly yours. My tours are about quality over quantity, ensuring you have the time to fully connect with each site and moment. With my expertise and a comfortable, modern vehicle, all you have to do is relax and enjoy the journey. Let's turn your trip into an unforgettable story. I would be honored to show you the charm of both modern and ancient Egypt, tailored perfectly to you.

Alexandria is the second largest city in Egypt, known as "The bride of the Mediterranean Sea ", it has an atmosphere that is more Mediterranean than Middle Eastern. It was founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC to be the capital bearing his name. I have been leading tours for 20 years, I know exactly where to stop, what to see and how to enrich your visit. I will show all sites with enough explanation that will make you satisfied and dream of coming back to Egypt to see more of it. You will have the chance to experience the real life of Egyptians and get closer to the culture, you will try Egyptian authentic food and learn how rich is the Egyptian cuisine. Upon arrival we would visit the Citadel of Qaitbay. It is believed to rest on the site of the Pharos lighthouse, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. we will visit to the Bombay's Pillar, the Catacomb of Komel-Shokafa. The day ends with a visit to the Library of Alexandria one of the most famous in the world. Then we will return to Cairo.
Rasha was amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Highly recommend.
We were so excited to visit Alexandria and Rasha did not disappoint. She was able to point out the Greek and Roman influences that shaped the city. The catacombs were especially delightful to us. Also, seafood lunch on the Mediterranean a real treat.
Thank you, Rasha, for making our trip to Egypt one of the best experiences of our lives! A few words about Rasha - she is an absolutely lovely person. We felt as if we were travelling with our own family member. She is always smiling and full of life and brought positive energy to our journey. She is passionate and highly professional. She has excellent knowledge and she took time to tailor the trip exactly to our needs. She helped us finalized the travel itinerary, and the most important, suggested best local (traditional and delicious) food. And one more thing, her English is excellent, with beautiful accent, which made a huge difference. Thank you once again, Rasha. We all look forward to see you again in the future.
My wife Nancy and I spent a thoroughly enjoyable day with Rasha, exploring the fascinating and vibrant city of Alexandria. Before coming, we had read a library about its history, but Rasha was able to flesh it out, being enormously knowledgeable about the culture of Alexandria through its many incarnations. Above all, Rasha is warm and delightful company (and flexible and patient with a difficult schedule) – for us, the perfect guide!.
Rasha is an incredibly talened guide and I would gladly use her again. - Very knowledgeable about all of Egypt (history and culture). - Speaks excellent English. - Great with Children - Very kind and engaging, but also no problems sitting in silence too. - Super flexible with times and locations and modifications to programme. - I would have no hesitation calling her again next time I need a guide in Cairo, Alexandria, or all of Egypt.
Rasha made our visit(16 years old niece) and my day in Alexandria, Egypt, fabulous.we learned so much and got to visit the catacombs, Pompey's pillar, Greco-Roman amphitheater and the Citadel all before a nice seaside lunch. The best part of the day came with a visit outside and inside the library…amazing. Many wonderful pictures taken. A day we will treasure and remember the rest of our lives.
I Will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza, cutting across 220 Kilometers of the Western desert toward Alexandria, the bride of the Mediterranean Sea. The trip takes about 3 hours. Upon arrival you would visit the Catacomb of Komel-Shokafa. These tombs were tunneled into the bedrock in (2nd century A. D. ) for a single wealthy family. Next you will visit the Pombay's Pillar, which was built in 297 AD for the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Now it is lunch time, And the best food you could try in Alexandria is sea food. So Lunch would be taken on-route at a popular seafood restaurant. Following lunch you will visit the fort and Citadel of Qaitbay (from outside only), which was built around 1480 By Sultan Qaitbay. It is believed to rest on the site of the famous lighthouse, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The day ends with a visit to the Library of Alexandria one of the most famous in the world before driving back to Cairo.
