Cairo Layover Private Tour

Ramses was an exceptional find for our layover tour in Cairo. Sorting through the many tour options and guides can be overwhelming but Ramses met and exceeded every expectation and made the entire experience seamless, memorable and fun! He ensured we arrived at the sites before the crowds (the VIP tour is absolutely worth it if you have limited time at the pyramids!) and helped us see everything on our wish list, along with a few highlights we didn’t know to ask for. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the culture and the history sharing his expertise in a way that was very approachable and personable. Ramses managed the schedule seamlessly, making the most of our limited time but never making us feel rushed. He was an excellent guide and was absolutely the best choice for our layover tour.

I can’t say enough about how terrific my week with Ramses was! The 5 millennia history of ancient Egypt can be difficult to contextualize and comprehend, especially when you consider people beyond the pharaohs court. Ramses “decoded” Egypts vast history and gave meaning to what I was seeing when viewing the monuments. That made for a much richer experience than simply viewing massive stone structures. Cairo is an intense place and Ramses went above and beyond helping me with transportation beyond my tour and guiding me on places to eat, etc. I’ve done tours all around the world with first class operators and guides and I place Ramses at the top of my list.

I enjoyed a 2 day tour with Ramses. He was more than just a guide, he acted as a friend, a teacher, and a calming voice in what can be a chaotic city. I appreciate his knowledge, his friendship, and everything he did for me in our two days together. I cannot adequately express my profound gratitude for all he gave to me. His in-depth knowledge provided us with a deeper understanding of all things “ancient Egypt.” He knew just how to expedite and navigate us with shortcuts and other helpful tips. You can tell how passionate he is about Egyptology and wanting to share his experiences with us. He made our day so much fun – and we were comfortable and happy and entertained throughout. We only had one afternoon in Cairo, so we accomplished everything we wanted – the pyramids and sphinx, lunch on the Giza plateau, the Egyptian museum and the famous bizarre. Plus, he pointed out other historical and interesting buildings and sites along the way. He stayed close to us and made sure we were happy and at ease. His personality is infectious, and I cannot recommend him enough!
