Hello every one, this is Hanan , an Egyptologist private tour guide and trip planner from Cairo Egypt . Being a local was born in Cairo this made me fond of archeology and history since I was a child especially that I was born in old Cairo which is a big open air museum itself. I graduated from Helwan university in Cairo in 2005 and have a Bachelor degree in tour guiding from its faculty of tourism , since I graduated I directly started my career as a tour guide so I have about 17 years of experience working with tourists from all over the world , this long experience gave me more qualifications especially in planning trips . Hanan and her driver were fantastic - the tour through Old Coptic Cairo was so interesting - Hanan imparts just the right amount of knowledge for these wonderful sites - the Hanging church is wonderful and Hanan was able to bring its very unique position above the ramparts alive ... then onto Garbage City and the cave church of St Simon - to end at the Ibn Tulun Mosque. it was a joy hanging out with her for a couple of hours
We booked this tour at the last minute we greatly appreciated the quick communication with Hanan. Though she was busy, she hooked us up with Hamed who picked us up and Soh who guided us at the sites. They were more than accommodating, showing us as much as possible in a limited time. We even got to see Garbage City and the cave churches and were able to visit a small spice shop to purchase something to take home. They were a great team!
Even though Habab was not able to do our tour due to her daughter being sick, she followed up and had replacement guides and driver take her place. We understand how things happen (we have 3 boys) and we appreciate all she did to make sure we still had our tour. Thank you.
Excellent tour! Because of the late openings of some of the churches, Hanan suggested going to the Mosque of Muhammad Ali at the Citadel first. Since I had wanted to visit the Citadel, this was a perfect addition. The timing was perfect to get to the Hanging Church before Mass started (when they don't allow tourists to enter). Our driver, Farouk, did an amazing job when the usual road to the Cave Church was closed and we had to negotiate the small streets in Garbage City. I really enjoyed my morning with Hanan and Farouk and highly recommend this tour!
Very interesting and informative tour. Hanan was very pleasant and did a great job making sure we saw everything in which we were interested. Her driver was a character and (though maybe not planned) the routes he took to avoid traffic provided a view of Cairo that one would likely not see otherwise (such as driving through the City of the Dead, which I particularly enjoyed).
Excellent tour led by Hanan. Very informative and in addition to several Coptic churches, we drove through the Garbage City neighborhood and an extra stop at the Mosque of Mohammad Ali. I would highly recommend Hanan as a tour guide!
