In 2020, I proudly penned my first book, "The Complete Ramses II" Followed by a second one " The Complete Hyksos" available in Egyptian and soon to be translated into English. We had a wonderful tour of Cairo with Ramses! There is a reason he is a top guide! He is fun, compassionate, and flexible. Ramses seamlessly put the history in religious and political context, and then brought it all forward to modern Egypt. He is knowledgeable across all eras of Egyptian history, so it tied very nicely to our previous tours in the Nile Valley. We really appreciated his perspective on current day Egypt as well.

We actually booked 3 days with Ramses as part of our family spring break. Giza Pyramids and GEM, Dahshur and Saqqara, and Cairo church/market tour/experience. Ramses was exceptional on all fronts… knowledgeable and well educated, engaging with our whole family, organized and punctual, and a great communicator. I would definitely recommend a private guide to get the full experience of Cairo and lessen the hectic nature of the city, and feedback from my kids was that they loved Ramses. The pyramids in particular would not be the same without a high quality guide.

We spent 2 great days with Ramses. Day 2 included the Pyramids, and Saqqara. Note - early start required for the Pyramids, which was a shock to the system but very justified given that we almost had the Great Pyramid to ourselves. As a once in a lifetime trip, hiring Ramses was definitely justified to ensure we got the most out of our trip. Highly recommended !
