We enjoyed the day with Nahla for most parts. Nahla is very knowledgeable and well connected. Maybe the day was not ideal to work for, as Nahla was a lot of times on the phone (calls/texts). We also expected a bit more automatic history- and storytelling, as we had the feeling to ask most of the times for information. The one thing which disturbed us most, was the fact, that on the drive back to Cairo downtown we stopped at a paper fabric, where it was immediately obvious they wanted to sell a picture. We spent about 5 minutes in the tourist trap. We understand, this might be interesting for some tourists, but please declare it as picture store. However in the end we would book again a tour to the Pyramids, because for us it was essential we could ask a local historian all the questions we had.

Nahla was a wonderful guide and she was helpful before I even arrived in Cairo assuring me that we could follow the personalized itinerary we desired. She was prompt, spoke lovely English, facilitated rapid entry into the pyramids, knowledgeable and patient. She took lots of pictures that were really fun and it was a nice mix of fun and history. We felt as if we left a friend when we said good bye.
Nahla is an excellent guide. She has good knowledge of location to plan our tour so that we could visit all the items on our itinerary. She is good photographer as well. Photos she took fr us were excellent and will be source of enjoyment long term.
