The main purpose to establish a new capital is to reduce the extreme crowding in Cairo as well as the presidential palace which will be the seat of - Egypt’s government - The headquarters - The prime minister’s - The house of representatives - The senate - The ministries - Agencies - Consulate and embassies - The center and financial system of Egypt Already moved Total area 700 km² 45km to the east of the ring road, on the midway between Cairo and the red sea and suez city 4 times size area of Washington DC Due to ongoing construction and frequent changes to the road network, you may notice the driver passing through the same area more than once. Some streets may also have been recently closed, which can require last-minute route adjustments.

We truly enjoyed to be driven around New Cairo and the New Administrative Capital. It is exciting to see the beginning of a new city, planned from scratch and how it develops into something lively and well envisioned. Our tour was done in a very comfortable car, with several stops to have great views or to photograph the surroundings. We very much liked the explanations, history and stories our guide Sherine gave us at the different areas and it was a pleasure to spend the time with her.

Sherine was amazing!! I and my son stopped by Cairo before heading to Qatar for the World Cup. We only had a 3 day weekend so we needed a guide to get the most out of our days. We did Highlights of Cairo tour with her. She even stopped by the Airline offices around Old Cairo to see if we could make some changes to our flights. She also customized another tour we requested and was very accommodating to our schedule. 200% Recommended.
