Explore Moez St in Old Cairo &the Folklore Band

Here's my favorite day out with my buddies here is where Cairo gets lively, real , and non touristy! We start at the old gates of Cairo dating back to the 11th century all the way through the avenue of Elmoez;a UNESCO world heritage site with a 33 monuments on both sides. Since I first step in I can't stop snapping pictures, of the monuments that date back to the 11th century all the way till the beginning of the 18th century. We indulge our senses of tasting snacks, sugar cane juice, hibiscus and mint tea. Hearing the live Adan gives us a chance to meditate and supplicate. The tour resumes back all the way from the old gates till the lively market of Khan elKhalili. I love to end the day at a Makan cultural center that has a one of a type performance of a band called Mazaher. This musical band is the only surviving band playing this genre of music . That processional performance used to ward the bad vibes and praise God, now they entertain us with rather more secular and more of worldly art.
