Welcome! My name is Carolina, and I’m originally from Argentina with Italian roots. I’ve been living in Denmark since early 2016. I came here as a tourist and fell in love with this beautiful country, its colorful houses, and its fascinating Viking history. My background is in graphic design, but I’ve always loved architecture thanks to my father, who is an architect. Since I was a child, I’ve enjoyed learning about the details and stories behind buildings. Now I’m married to a Dane and have two young children, which has immersed me deeply in Danish culture. I love sharing the fascinating anecdotes, traditions, and experiences I’ve discovered along the way. I’m particularly passionate about the history of Danish kings and queens, the stories of Viking ships, and the rich traditions of this ancient kingdom. Denmark is full of unique details that I can’t wait to share with you. One of my favorite things when traveling is trying local food. I enjoy recommending Danish ingredients and dishes that are worth tasting again and again. If you would like to customize a tour, let me know, and I will be happy to create an experience tailored to your interests! Would you like to discover Denmark with me? Write to me, and let’s explore together!

This full day experience combines the very best of Danish history. We’ll start in Roskilde, the former Viking capital, to visit the Viking Ship Museum. There, we'll see 1,000 year old vessels and visit the shipyard where traditional techniques are still used today. We’ll also explore the monumental Roskilde Cathedral, the burial site of Danish kings and queens for centuries. Then, we’ll head to Hillerød to discover Frederiksborg Castle. Located on three small islands in a lake, this Renaissance masterpiece is a testament to royal ambition. We’ll talk about its construction, the tragic fire, and its incredible restoration. Inside, we'll admire national treasures and the stories hidden behind its art and architecture. To finish, we’ll enjoy a walk through the baroque gardens before heading back.

Please note that the terrain is varied, ranging from paved city streets to gravel paths in the castle gardens and some slight uphill sections. I recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes for the day.
