Hej! Discover Copenhagen with me, an authorized guide with over 10 years of experience in the industry. My name is Lavinia, I was born and raised in Italy, but moved to Denmark in 2014. When I first came here I was an outsider looking in, as you are perhaps, and I would love to guide you in understanding this wonderful country. Copenhagen is known for its fairytale atmosphere, and together we will discover its history, from a Viking kingdom, to the modern country that it is today. We'll explore the everyday life of the Danes and we will try to unlock the secret to why Denmark is often ranked as one of the happiest countries in the world. I particularly love modern architecture and city planning, as well as royal history and visiting museums. A little bit about me - I was born in Italy and I have always loved traveling and experiencing new cultures. After finishing my studies in Italy, I moved to Copenhagen and I made it my home. I started working with the tourism industry in 2016, as a guide for cruise ship guests, and I quickly realized that I loved learning about the history of my adoptive country and sharing it with my guests! In 2020 I obtained my diploma for becoming a licensed tour guide in Denmark from Roskilde University. Since then I've been working with my own company "Copenhagen with Lavinia", catering to all types of clients from big groups, company trips, to individual travelers and families. I'm so happy to help anyone who wants to discover this beautiful country! I love creating personalized itineraries and I'm always available for customizing your tour. I love the relaxed Danish way of life, and living in a city that has so much to offer, yet is still easy to navigate on foot or by bicycle. Copenhagen has the best museums, art galleries, vintage shops, bakeries. . . I just love everything about it and I know you will too! Authorized tourist guide from Roskilde University (2020). 10 years guiding experience. BA in Intercultural Communication and Interpreting from Bologna University. MA in Language Sciences and Language Teaching from Ca' Foscari University in Venice. I guide in English and Italian. Guida in italiano a Copenaghen - scrivimi per qualsiasi domanda o informazione.

Roskilde is a lovely fjord town, just 30 minutes from Copenhagen. Its rich history makes it the perfect destination for a day trip to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Together we will visit the Viking Ship Museum and Roskilde Cathedral. The Viking ships in Roskilde are 1000 years old, they were sunk in Roskilde fjord, probably for defensive purposes. It was known that the ships were there, but it was only in the 1960s that technology had progressed enough to allow archeologists to excavate the ships from the bottom of the fjord. A truly one-of-a-kind experience! Our second stop will be Roskilde Cathedral, an amazing Unesco World Heritage Site. This 12th-century church is the final resting place of most of Denmark's kings and queens. If you love history, Roskilde is the perfect destination for you!
We can meet either at Copenhagen Central Station or directly in Roskilde. We will walk down to the fjord, to visit the five original Viking ships that were excavated from Roskilde fjord in the 1960s, and are now housed in the Viking Ship Museum. Afterward, we will walk up the hill to reach the town center, the site of the magnificent Roskilde Cathedral. Dating back to the 12th century, it is today the final resting place of about 40 Kings and Queens of Denmark, a unique place where you can really breathe in the history of Denmark. There will be time for a light lunch or snack too, of course, depending on the time of day, and the tour can be customized to your preferences. After the visit we will return to Copenhagen. Please note that the Church might be closed when in use, I will always check and adjust the itinerary or contact you to agree on an alternative. Gita a Roskilde - museo delle navi vichinghe e cattedrale, tour in italiano! Scrivimi per domande o dettagli.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We will use the public trains to reach Roskilde, and then walk the rest of the tour. 7 hour is an estimate, depending on frequency of the trains.
København, 1577, Denmark
I suggest meeting in Copenhagen train station and taking the train together to Roskilde, or we can meet directly in Roskilde if you prefer.
