I love sharing knowledge about my home country and about Copenhagen, the city where I was born and where I live. Telling the history about old Denmark and showing the sights, the landscape and my favorite spots is what attracts me about being a tourist guide. I qualified as a tourist guide from the Tourist Guide Diploma Program at Roskilde University in 1996 and I have been teaching there too. In 2006, I obtained a Master degree in History from the University of Copenhagen. For a couple of years, I have lived and worked in England. I teach coming tourist guides at Nordic Guide Academy and I combine my work there with working as a freelance tourist guide in Copenhagen and with Copenhagen as a starting point. Having been a tourist guide for 25 years, I have extensive experience and I have guided for just one person as well as for larger groups and for people having many different nationalities as English is my guide language. It is always my aim to give a positive and memorable experience. I emphasize to show and to tell about both the old and the new Denmark and living conditions before and now. Most of my tours are walking tours and/or using public transport, as I wish to participate in a sustainable future for our planet. However, I also do tours by in and out of Copenhagen. Tours can be adapted to your specific interests, needs and time. Overview of your Copenhagen tour
Enjoy a lot of Copenhagen's highlights on this walking tour starting from the Langelinie Cruise Ship Port. We will be walking along the harbor front to the oldest part of Copenhagen and on our way pass many of the city's attractions. I find, that walking is the best way to explore Copenhagen and sense its laid-back atmosphere. During our city walk, I will tell you about the development of my home town and why the city is considered very attractive to live in and also why we Copenhageners are amongst the world's happiest people.

These are some of the highlights we will be passing during our walking tour: •The Little Mermaid depicting one of Hans Christian Andersen's many fairy tales •Gefion Fountain, the magnificent fountain of the viking goddess •Amalienborg Palace, the splendid Rococo palace and home of the Royal family •Nyhavn with its picturesque old houses •The Royal Theater, home of the famous Royal Danish Ballet. •Christiansborg Palace housing the Danish Parliament and the Royal Reception Rooms The tour ends in the city center, from where I will help you to get a taxi, a local bus or the waterbus back to the pier. Duration 2, 5 hours. The tour can start in the morning or afternoon and can be customized according to your preferences, please inquire.
