Step into a fairytale world of kings, queens, and Shakespearean legends on this relaxed half-day journey from Copenhagen to Kronborg Castle — travelling by comfortable Danish trains. We begin in Copenhagen and ride together through the scenic coastline of North Zealand. When we arrive in Helsingør, we walk to Kronborg Castle, better known as Elsinore, the home of Hamlet. Kronborg Castle is one of Denmark’s most iconic landmarks — famous as Shakespeare’s Elsinore. Inside, you’ll explore the elegant royal apartments, the grand ballroom, and the atmospheric underground casemates. For centuries, Helsingør was one of the richest and most important cities in Denmark. Enjoy beautiful views across the sea — with Sweden just on the other side. After the castle visit, you can relax over lunch at a cosy local restaurant or enjoy the harbour’s street-food market right by the water. We return to Copenhagen by train.
