Overview of your Copenhagen tour
Come on a tour of fascinating castles & spectacular gardens, enhanced by contemporary art at one of the world's most beautiful museums. You'll enjoy a pleasant drive along the gorgeous coastline stretching north from Copenhagen, a visit to Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, and indulge in experiencing a bit of royal lifestyle of past times at Kronborg, also known as Hamlet's Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to this royal landmark, we'll also pass by Frederiksborg & Fredensborg Castles. While this tour can be customized, please confer with me about opening hours of the castles & museum, on the specific day in question you'll be visiting. While this is presented as a 5 hour tour (an absolute minimum) I highly suggest you contact me to extend the tour to 8 or more hours. We could also combine this with a visit to the Viking Ship Museum & Roskilde Cathedral. Please do see my other tours as well for more options. Your Copenhagen tour itinerary
·As we leave Copenhagen city, we'll pass the new Nordhavn neighbourhood, set in the former container harbor & home to the new cruise ship terminal. ·We'll travel north along Oresund, through exclusive suburbs, enjoy beautiful landmarks en route, such as famed architect Arne Jacobsen's Bellevue, the Royal Hunting Castle, & quaint little fishing villages with thatched roofs. ·After about an hour we'll reach Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (featured in "1000 Places to See Before You Die"). ·A 20 min drive further north brings us to the fabled Kronborg Castle. Originally built as a fortress, parts of which date back over 500 years, it's where Shakespeare set his play Hamlet. A visit to the royal living quarters, and especially the dungeons, is a must! ·Later, we'll turn inland through more picturesque landscapes, before reaching the royal summer residence of Fredensborg. ·Our final visit will be to Frederiksborg Castle's spectacular gardens & museum. We'll return to Copenhagen along the motorway.
