This tour is a 4-hour walking tour of Copenhagen with a focus on the long and dramatic history of Jewish life in Denmark. I am a Jewish Londoner who has enjoyed getting acquainted with the small Jewish community in Copenhagen and would like to share its traditions and history with you. The tour will also include a general tour of the City Highlights. There is a fascinating tale to be told about the Jews who first arrived in Copenhagen in the early 1600s and their turbulent life here over the following centuries. Amongst the subjects will be the remarkable events that resulted in Denmark becoming the only "Righteous Nation" following the Second World War. We will visit Daniel Libeskind's Jewish Museum also. There is a possibility to visit either the Chabad Shu or Copenhagen Synangoguel( by appointment. )
