Many years ago I came to Denmark from England because I was curious to find out why Danes were "The Happiest Nation on Earth". I am delighted to say that I found out and am willing to share this with you! Having fallen in love with Copenhagen, Denmark (and a Dane) I became fascinated by Danish history and culture; a passion which led me to become educated as a tour guide. With a background in the music business in London and later as a psychotherapist I am well qualified to listening and my guiding is always based around the interests and requirements of my guests. I am not an academic, there are other guides who are; if you want a tour filled with detail of Kings and dates then look elsewhere because what I offer is a viewpoint of Denmark and Copenhagen seen from the eye of a very interested Englishman. That said every day I continue to study the story of the Land of the Vikings. My favourite past-time is wandering the streets of Copenhagen looking for unusual routes and sights to show my guests. The buildings may be beautiful but they come alive with a story. Above all my aim is for you (and I) to have a entertaining and fun day whilst I share my love and knowledge of my wonderful adopted homeland. Authorised Danish Tour Guide. This tour is a 4-hour walking tour of Copenhagen with a focus on the long and dramatic history of Jewish life in Denmark. I am a Jewish Londoner who has enjoyed getting acquainted with the small Jewish community in Copenhagen and would like to share its traditions and history with you. The tour will also include a general tour of the City Highlights. There is a fascinating tale to be told about the Jews who first arrived in Copenhagen in the early 1600s and their turbulent life here over the following centuries. Amongst the subjects will be the remarkable events that resulted in Denmark becoming the only "Righteous Nation" following the Second World War. We will visit Daniel Libeskind's Jewish Museum also. There is a possibility to visit either the Chabad Shu or Copenhagen Synangoguel( by appointment. )
Philipe was a wonderful guide who guided us through Copenhagen with an emphasis on Jewish history, when appropriate. He was very flexible, adjusting the itinerary when I informed him that we were covering those places on a different tour. His knowledge of general Copenhagen and the Jewish experience during WWII was extensive. He was open to questions and adjusted the pace as necessary. We would highly recommend this tour.
Six of us had. A really enjoyable walking tour with Philip. Since it was our first trip to Copenhagen, we learned a lot about Copenhagen and Denmark in addition to the Jewish tour aspects. I highly recommend taking Philip’s tour.

Philip is and Englishman who has become a Danish citizen. He is a great storyteller. He had the ability to determine what each of the 4 people in our group was especially interested in and spent some time covering that subject. We did all the listed things on the tour plus many extras and learned much more that we expected. It was a delighful morning and we would recommend him highly.
Philip was very knowledgeable and interesting. We covered a lot of territory, both literally and figuratively. We were especially interested in the Jews in Denmark and Philip more than met our expectations.
