I am a native Copenhagener with a deep knowledge of Denmark. I have lived and travelled abroad extensively, and I really enjoy welcoming foreigners to the city I love so much. I both do walking tours in Copenhagen and bike or bus tours in or out of Copenhagen. My tours are always custom-designed to fit your interests and needs, and I hope you will experience that you both meet a local friend but also a deeply professional tour guide who really knows his city and culture and can put together a great tour and a great day/days for you. My interests span history over architecture and city planning to modern society and life in Denmark and beyond. I have guided professionally since 2014, but I also have a human resource background and a M. Sc. in Intercultural communication, and when I don't do guided tours, I teach Danish culture and Danish business culture to high-skilled foreigners coming to Copenhagen to work through my own company. Some of the low season, I also lead tours through Europe for an Australian company. Most of my tours in Copenhagen are walking tours, simply because it's the best way to explore inner Copenhagen and the surrounding districts - it's a compact city, and cars don't have a high priority, so walking (or biking) is the best way to get around the central parts of the city. (If you prefer biking or bussing instead of walking, that is also possible). For tours outside Copenhagen I mostly use a trusted bus driver and his bus, but I can also make (more economical) versions using public transport. I would like to give you a tour where you both see the Copenhagen highlights but also satisfy your curiosity of the modern life in Denmark, whatever your interests might be. During the longer tour, I like to include places where you can try a traditional Danish lunch - the "smørrebrød" (open faced sandwiches) - probably the most important addition from the Danish kitchen, and a thing I something do workshops in myself and like to present to guests. Apart from living in Copenhagen, I have spent 4-5 years living abroad (the United States, Argentina and Germany especially). I like to do outstanding tours and service, so if you need some help to plan the rest of your trip in Copenhagen before or after our tour, I am also happy to give advice. I really like meeting people from other countries, and hope to see you on one of my tours. MSc in Intercultural communication and management, university studies in Pennsylvania, USA and Buenos Aires, Argentina Official Danish tourist guide license from Roskilde University (one year full time studies) Broad and deep knowledge of Denmark, Europe and beyond - traveling, living abroad, and meeting people from different cultures have been my interest since childhood. I will not drive myself but hire a driver and van (or accompany you in your vehicle) on the tours that requires driving. (Both for insurance reasons and because I like to focus on the guiding).

Explore the most significant parts of Copenhagen. We see the medieval part of towns and some of the areas to the north of the city, like the Little Mermaid, the Gefion Fountain, and depending on your wishes, Freetown Christiania and Christianshavn. We will see the origins of Copenhagen, the era of the powerful kings, the reformation, the birth of democracy, and not least the modern life as it takes place in this old city, be it architectural high-lights, hippies, or new parts of town emerging This tour combines walking (as much as you like) with other means of transportation. The tour is good for those who like a little less walking than on a pure walking tour, or just like to get a little bit further around. If you are a bigger group of 8 or more, my private bus tour is probably better, but for the smaller group this tour is cheaper - and it's fun to try out the different transportation methods in Copenhagen - perhaps the public harbor boat, or new metro system?
We will adjust the tour to fit your needs, but the tour could include: - Christiansborg - Danish parliament and birthplace of Copenhagen - Nyhavn - 'New Harbour', the 400 year idyllic canal with its colorful houses - Amalienborg - the Queen's castle - The Marble Church - Kongens Nytorv - 'King's new square' with the finest 18C buildings in Copenhagen - Church of our Lady - Copenhagen's most important church and the birth of Lutheran reformation in Denmark - Christiania - the "hippie town" still surviving today after being occupied by several hundred flower power-hippies in 1971 - Christianshavn - the "Little Amsterdam" quarter with canals and some of the oldest buildings in Copenhagen - The Little Mermaid Depending on our route, we could be using following means of transportation: Taxi from cruise terminal The new metro (subway) to Christianshavn and Christiania Bike taxi back to cruise ship (if cruise ship docks at "Langelinie"). Harbour boat tour (if your preference is more sailing and a less walking)
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We will use a combination of walking, bus, metro, taxi, bike taxi and boat - depending on what our aims are
