I am a native Copenhagener with a deep knowledge of Denmark. I have lived and travelled abroad extensively, and I really enjoy welcoming foreigners to the city I love so much. I both do walking tours in Copenhagen and bike or bus tours in or out of Copenhagen. My tours are always custom-designed to fit your interests and needs, and I hope you will experience that you both meet a local friend but also a deeply professional tour guide who really knows his city and culture and can put together a great tour and a great day/days for you. My interests span history over architecture and city planning to modern society and life in Denmark and beyond. I have guided professionally since 2014, but I also have a human resource background and a M. Sc. in Intercultural communication, and when I don't do guided tours, I teach Danish culture and Danish business culture to high-skilled foreigners coming to Copenhagen to work through my own company. Some of the low season, I also lead tours through Europe for an Australian company. Most of my tours in Copenhagen are walking tours, simply because it's the best way to explore inner Copenhagen and the surrounding districts - it's a compact city, and cars don't have a high priority, so walking (or biking) is the best way to get around the central parts of the city. (If you prefer biking or bussing instead of walking, that is also possible). For tours outside Copenhagen I mostly use a trusted bus driver and his bus, but I can also make (more economical) versions using public transport. I would like to give you a tour where you both see the Copenhagen highlights but also satisfy your curiosity of the modern life in Denmark, whatever your interests might be. During the longer tour, I like to include places where you can try a traditional Danish lunch - the "smørrebrød" (open faced sandwiches) - probably the most important addition from the Danish kitchen, and a thing I something do workshops in myself and like to present to guests. Apart from living in Copenhagen, I have spent 4-5 years living abroad (the United States, Argentina and Germany especially). I like to do outstanding tours and service, so if you need some help to plan the rest of your trip in Copenhagen before or after our tour, I am also happy to give advice. I really like meeting people from other countries, and hope to see you on one of my tours. MSc in Intercultural communication and management, university studies in Pennsylvania, USA and Buenos Aires, Argentina Official Danish tourist guide license from Roskilde University (one year full time studies) Broad and deep knowledge of Denmark, Europe and beyond - traveling, living abroad, and meeting people from different cultures have been my interest since childhood. I will not drive myself but hire a driver and van (or accompany you in your vehicle) on the tours that requires driving. (Both for insurance reasons and because I like to focus on the guiding).

On this day, we have a lot of time to discover Copenhagen. With 8 hours, there's time to explore the special interests you have, while also seeing for example all the "must-sees" of Copenhagen if you are a first-time visitor, or have time to go foodie-exploring, visit a museum you have a special interest in, or just go really slow and have plenty of stops for coffees and talks, or shopping on the way - you get the idea. I customize all my tours (and can do even longer tours), but eight hours gives us time. This is a walking tour, but we will use additional transport if we need it (subway, bus, taxi). As your guide, I would love to share my native city with you, but also my experiences working for the city and national government. After years of living abroad, and teaching Danish culture to outsiders, I can show you Copenhagen and Denmark from a broader perspectiv
The itinerary is customized, but to give you some ideas what we can put into the tour: - The classical "must-sees" of central Copenhagen (Christiansborg castle, Nyhavn, Amalienborg castle, Marble Church, King's New square, Stroget, Church of our Lady, Gammeltorv/Nytorv, Round Tower. . . ) - Visit a museum or two inside : My recommend would be Royal Reception Rooms, and alternatively Rosenborg. - Christiania, the hippie commune, and Christianshavn, the district around it - Vesterbro - hipster and diverse district - Danish smoerrebroed lunch, Food Hall-lunch, or even more "foodie" elements - Longer discussions on Danish society, culture, history etc - Entrance and introduction to Tivoli Gardens (I will suggest you then continue on your own) - Canal cruise, with public ferry or private boat
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
Central Copenhagen is best done by walking since things are close to each other, and we save the hassle of parking and getting in and out the car. Since this tour gives us the opportunity to cover some more areas, we will supplement with e.g. subway, bus or taxi when necessary (not included in price, but not terribly expensive either)
