Overview of your Copenhagen tour
You know the Disney movie "The Little Mermaid", but do you know Hans Christian Andersen's original dark tale? On this tour, you'll get to know it. We'll explore both the old & modern Copenhagen, my lovely hometown, while I share some of its fascinating history. We will drive past its most important sights in a private & luxurious electric vehicle, either a 4-6 passenger Mercedes EQS SUV, or a 7 passenger Mercedes EQV van with plenty of luggage space (useful, if you're doing this tour as part of a transfer between the airport and a ship or hotel). After spending the first few minutes getting to know each other, setting expectations considering the time of day and year plus the ever unpredictable factor the weather, and arranging any special wishes you may have, we'll set off on our tour. This 4 hour tour allows for customization, shopping, and a meal. Please do let me know of any special requests when booking. I'm available during all sunlit hours; from about 5AM to 10PM in summer.
Your Copenhagen tour itinerary
Suggested itinerary (order may vary according to traffic): ·Our first stop will be our most famous landmark, The Little Mermaid. ·Afterwards, we'll pass by Kastellet, an old military fortress, and Langelinie. ·Then we'll see the statue of King Christian 4 who contracted many of the notable buildings, we'll see along our route, including the old navy barracks of Nyboder, SMK, and Rosenborg Castle. ·Afterwards, we'll reach Amalienborg Palace, the residence of our king & queen. Best time to visit is 12 pm, for the daily guard shift change. ·Then we'll stop at the old harbor of Nyhavn, a perfect photo op! ·Afterwards, we'll pass the Royal Theater in Kongens Nytorv, and the old stock exchange Borsen. ·Next door lies parliament, at Christiansborg Palace, which rests on an 8 centuries old foundation. ·We'll then cross the bridge to Christianshavn, where we'll cross the canals & stop at the Opera House. ·Enroute, we'll also pass Glyptoteket & Tivoli Gardens, and stop anywhere you like.
