Birding Puerto Varas : forest/lagoon/grassland

This tour far exceeded our expectations! Diego's knowledge of the local birds, and his enthusiasm and hospitality were exceptional. We had a perfect day with him, and were very well cared for during our only day in town. I would repeat this whenever I return.

Diego met us at the pier as scheduled as soon as we left the ship. He is professional, extremely knowledgeable of Chile birds and made us feel very comfortable. Our tour was primarily bird watching and some sightseeing. He presented us with some Chilean treats, empanada's and coffee. Diego tailored our trip to our needs while pointing out over 20 species including the Andean Condor! His expertise of where to go was fabulous while making our day ensuring we were back on time! Five plus stars ⭐️. A++++

Diego is a very pleasant person to spend the day with. Very polite and attentive to you and your interests. The birding tour he planned was well diversified and we visited 3 completely different habitats. We got to see many different species, from wood birds all the way to the Chilean flamingo, including a glimpse of the Andean condor. You stay interested all the way during this 8-hour tour. You drive about 120 kms/75 miles through beautiful Patagonia. A nice touch: you get the birds list seen with a map.
