Full day Great Chiloe Island History and Penguins

The first time that I traveled to the Chiloe Island it was with my mom, I remember that she had no money so we had to sleep in one of the church chambers, next day they invited us to have sea snail soup I was 4 or 5 years old, since then I fell in love with the island and their customs, and I can tell you that the real Chilean culture is here! So let me take you by ferry to the Puñihuil penguin reserve, we will drive trough Ancud a small town but crucial in the history of the region, in an open boat we will drive among these magnificent creatures Magellan and Humboldt penguins, and other sea birds (upon weather conditions). Visit the patrimonial wooden churches museum, the local market, and the last remain fortress that the Spanish soldiers kept under the name of the king of Spain in 1826, before or after this visit. We will have as lunch a local dish called Kuranto that is made like in the old times in a hot stone pit, this event will close our visit and we will head towards your accommodation.

-I will pick you up at the meeting point. -Drive directly to Pargua. Ferry crossing to Chacao. Arrive to Chiloé Island. -We will past throw of Ancud town and continue to Quetalmahue fjord. Photos along the way. Arrive to Puñihil Natural reserve. Information about the place (Local guide) and Motor boat excursion (45 min) to enjoy the nature of Magallanic, Humboldt penguins and other wildlife of the area. Photos and lunch (optional). -Return to town. -We will make a visit to Ancud town, museum, if we have time. -Back to the Ferry and return to the Pier or your Hotel. *Seasonal: From September to latest March. *Sail subject to weather conditions at the area. *The set sail of the tour is with 10 Travelers. If necessary, we will have to wait a short time. *Seafood Restaurant on the place. Consider 1 hour extra for lunch.
